Ovington British OK National Championship at Tynemouth Sailing Club - Day 3

After a day off due to high winds yesterday it was good to get three races in today at the Ovington OK Nationals and bring the programme a bit more back in line.

PRO Nathan Batchelor set the race course in the south bay and there was an anxious wait to see if the winds would drop to allow racing to take place. After due consideration and with the wind moderating D flag was raised at 11am and racing got under way on time at 12 noon.

Sean Cleary won the first race of the day and banged in another first in the second race to move up the leader board to second overall. He claimed a 3rd in race 3. Matt Howard was in 3rd place in the first race, 6th (now a discard) in the second race and won the 3rd race of the day, retaining his overall lead. Charlie Cumbley claimed 2nd, 5th and 4th to remain in 3rd overall, but he's closely chased by Oli Davenport who had 6th, 2nd, 2nd today.

There are three races scheduled for the final day, with the start time brought forward to 10.30 to accommodate this.
