The U.S. Virgin Islands will welcome sailors from around the world to St. Croix November 4-14 for the 2026 ISCA (International Sunfish Class Assn.) World Championship, bringing elite international competition to the waters of one of the Caribbean's premier sailing destinations.

Adding to the significance of this year's championship, the 2026 ISCA World Championship will serve as a qualifying event for the Pan American Games. Sailors representing countries throughout the Caribbean, Europe, North America, Central America, South America will be in attendance. There will be 15 USVI sailors participating, ranging in age from 15-71.

The ISCA is one of the world's most recognizable sailboats and widely sailed one-design dinghies. Its simplicity, accessibility and highly competitive international racing have helped generations of sailors develop their skills and compete at the highest levels of the sport.

This championship regatta is the work of a partnership between VI Sailing Assn., VI Olympic Committee and St. Croix Yacht Club. Hotel on the Cay in Christiansted will serve as the host venue, with Opening Ceremonies held at the Bandstand at the Christiansted Fort.

Hosting the ISCA World Championship provides St. Croix and the USVI with an opportunity to showcase the territory's exceptional sailing conditions, maritime heritage and longstanding connection to the international sailing. Beyond the racing, competitors and their families will have the opportunity to experience St. Croix's beaches, historic Christiansted, restaurants, culture and Crucian hospitality during their stay.

Additional information regarding the racing schedule, participating nations, community events, volunteer opportunities and sponsorship opportunities will be announced as the regatta approaches.
