EXCESS CELEBRATES ITS OFFICIAL HONG KONG DEBUT WITH AQUAHUB AT A SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH PARTY
|
|
On July 9th, 2026, Excess Asia-Pacific partnered with our new Hong Kong dealer, Aquahub, to co-organize the Hong Kong Excess Launch Party at Aquahub's facilities in Kwun Tong.
Taking advantage of the Hong Kong stopover of a brand-new Excess 11 during her delivery voyage to the Philippines, Excess Asia-Pacific and Aquahub hosted the Hong Kong Excess Launch Party. The event also marked the official debut of the Excess brand in Hong Kong, a milestone we are particularly excited to celebrate alongside our new partner, Aquahub.
The launch party began in the afternoon and welcomed approximately 30 guests, including media representatives, influencers, sailing enthusiasts, catamaran enthusiasts, and business partners. The beautifully berthed Excess 11 provided the ideal backdrop for photographs and memorable moments throughout the event.

In April, the Excess 13 made its highly successful Asia-Pacific Premiere at the Singapore Yachting Festival 2026, providing the perfect platform for visitors from across Southeast Asia to discover our brand and experience the unique sailing sensations and innovation that define the Excess range.
Our dealer in Thailand, Primus Marine, will showcase the entire Excess fleet in Phuket this November, offering visitors the opportunity to discover a range of models perfectly suited for exploring the hidden gems of the Andaman Sea.
With the arrival of this new Excess 14 in Singapore and another Excess 11 on its way to the Philippines, we are proud to see Excess catamarans cruising in more and more destinations across the APAC region.
The Excess 14 is a lightweight cruising catamaran that combines exciting sailing performance with generous living space. It has quickly established itself as one of the most attractive models on the cruising catamaran market. Sailors particularly appreciate its twin aft helm stations, which provide direct contact with the rudders and excellent visibility of the sails. Designed with comfort and versatility in mind, the Excess 14 offers an enjoyable and spacious onboard living experience for owners and guests alike.

MEET THE 2ND EXCESS RIDER: LUCAS FRIGOUT, MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDER
|
|
At the International Multihull Show in April, Excess officially launched the Riders' Edition, available on the Excess 11 and Excess 14, bringing together equipment designed to transform the Excess catamaran into a true base camp for riders and outdoor explorers.
Today, we are proud to introduce our 2nd Excess Rider: Lucas Frigout, a mountain bike champion and explorer at heart. Between mountain ridges and wild anchorages, our worlds may seem, at first glance, worlds apart. Yet they share a common quest: the pursuit of freedom.

THE EXCESS SHINES AT THE PACIFIC PUDDLE JUMP 2026
|
|
After several weeks at sea and nearly 3,800 nautical miles between the American coast and Polynesia, the Pacific Puddle Jump crews have dropped anchor. This year, several Excess catamarans were part of the adventure.
Excess has been the official partner of the Pacific Puddle Jump, and our dealer in French Polynesia Sail Tahiti took the helm of organizing this rally that connects the American Pacific coast to the Polynesian lagoons each season. This first season under the partnership has just delivered its first insights, rich in lessons learned.
On the more southerly and demanding Gambier route, Pélican (Excess 14), sailed as a family by Nicolas Chable de La Héronnière, reached the archipelago in 18 days and 12 hours, covering 3,076 actual miles with a peak of 200 miles in 24 hours. Over the whole crossing, the boat maintained an average of 6.9 knots, one of the best recorded this season, allowing it to complete a route 500 miles longer than the Marquesas route in the same average time as the rest of the fleet.
On the Marquesas route, Karma (Excess 13) and Takaya 6 (Excess 14) also made the most of the trade winds. Aboard Takaya 6, the multipurpose code allowed the crew to hold a strong speed throughout the downwind leg, taking full advantage of the favorable conditions on this route. On Karma, the Parasailor held its own even in squalls gusting past 40 knots off Fatu Hiva.
