THE EXCESS 13 ENJOYS A HIGHLY-SUCCESSFUL DEBUT AT SCIBS 2026

Our Excess 13 made a highly successful Australian premiere at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. We extend our sincere gratitude to our local dealer, 38 South Yacht Sales, and sub-dealer, World Wide Boat Brokers, for making this milestone possible.

Throughout the four-day event, the Excess 13 attracted a steady stream of visitors. The enthusiastic response and overwhelmingly positive feedback were truly encouraging.
On the afternoon of May 22, Excess hosted an exclusive press cocktail, where we shared the brand’s latest developments and regional growth strategy with our local media partners. Guests were also invited on board for a guided tour of the Excess 13, led by Cosmas Grelon, Excess Asia-Pacific Sales Manager, who showcased the model’s impressive features.
As the evening unfolded, the atmosphere shifted into celebration mode. During the Sunset Spritz session, hosted by 38 South Yacht Sales and World Wide Boat Brokers, the versatile catamaran transformed into a vibrant floating bar. With live music playing and the gentle Gold Coast breeze setting the scene, guests enjoyed refreshing cocktails while soaking in the sporty yet relaxed spirit that defines the Excess 13.
The Excess 13 is ideally positioned to meet the needs of a new generation of sailors—delivering thrilling sailing sensations without compromising onboard comfort. Its ingenious features—such as the rainwater collection system on the coachroof, a walk-in wardrobe, a dedicated workstation, and double helm seats that can be lifted for easy aft access—are all designed to make life onboard simpler and more seamless, perfectly accommodating a hybrid lifestyle.
If you missed the show, we invite you to watch this video presented by 38 South Yacht Sales and World Wide Boat Brokers. Discover some of the features and custom options we have incorporated into this Excess 13.

EXCESS 13'S EPIC APAC TOUR

Earlier in February, APAC’s first Excess 13 arrived in Brisbane, Australia, where it was commissioned by our local dealer, 38 South Yacht Sales. In March, another Excess 13 took to the waters of Thailand, delivered through our dealer in the Kingdom, Primus Marine. This model was later showcased at the Malaysia International Boat Show in early April to gauge market response, where it attracted strong interest from visitors throughout the event.

Following its Asia-Pacific premiere at the Singapore Yachting Festival in April—a key platform highlighting the dynamic growth of the yachting industry in Southeast Asia—the Excess 13 was officially unveiled to Australian audiences at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in late May, one of the Southern Hemisphere’s premier boating lifestyle events. Across both shows, the model attracted outstanding attendance and garnered overwhelmingly positive feedback, reinforcing its status as a true international icon within the sailing community.
Meanwhile, our dealers in New Zealand (36 Degrees Brokers) and in French Polynesia (Sail Tahiti) have each delivered an Excess 13 to their owners through the European Delivery programme. These owners have since set sail to explore the Mediterranean and ventured further into the Caribbean, actively participating in key brand experiences such as the Excess Factory Tour and Excess Campus—building both confidence and a strong sense of connection within the Excess community.

A MULTI-AWARD WINNER
The Excess 13 is built to win. Since its launch last April, it has already secured numerous international accolades, including European Yacht of the Year 2026 and Multihull of the Year 2025.
In the APAC region alone, the Excess 13 has continued its winning streak—taking home the Best Sailing Catamaran Under 14m award at the 2026 Yacht Style Awards in Singapore this April, and being officially named winner of the Multihull Category at the KAZI Yacht Award 2025 during the Japan International Boat Show in March.

ANOTHER WONDERFUL EXCESS CAMPUS COMPLETED—GROWING A SENSE OF TRIBE BELONGINGS

From May 20 to 23, in Canet-en-Roussillon, France, another wonderful Excess Campus brought together 35 owners from all over the world for three-day training sessions on sailing skills, technical maintenance, and marine rescue knowledge—which contributed to grow a deeper knowledge of their Excess catamarans and build bluewater confidence.

At Excess, the adventure doesn’t stop with the acquisition of a catamaran. With an aim to perfect our owners’ competence at sea and to anticipate their future cruises, the Excess Campus combines tutorial sessions led by marine professionals in the fields of rigging, harbour manoeuvres, weather, electronics, as well as safety-at-sea workshop hosted by French sea rescue organization SNSM.
The highlight of this edition was written at sea. Two hours of sailing toward Collioure, and halfway through, the thermal breeze kicked in. Five Excess boats racing, a pushing breeze, and one Excess breaking through the 10-knot barrier. Arriving in the bay of Collioure under a flawless blue sky — that's the moment everyone would carry with them.

During the training sessions, participants took the opportunity to know each other—sharing their own stories and receiving encouragements of their sailing projects—fostering a strong sense of belongings of the Excess tribe.
