The most anticipated multihull — Lagoon 38 debuts at SCIBS 2026

The award-winning Lagoon 38—one of the most anticipated multihulls of the year—made its official Australian debut at the 2026 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS).

The Lagoon APAC team, together with our exclusive Australian dealer, TMG Yachts, welcomed guests throughout the show, offering personalised consultations, insightful ownership discussions, and private tours of the Lagoon 38.

Ahead of its highly anticipated showcase, the Lagoon 38 undertook an impressive coastal passage, departing Sydney Harbour and sailing north along the NSW coastline to the Gold Coast Seaway. Over several days at sea, the yacht was tested in real-world conditions, delivering outstanding performance and comfort.

Veteran skipper Ross Price praised the Lagoon 38 for its refined sail handling systems and thoughtful design features. Highlights included the enclosed helm for enhanced protection and visibility, the seamless connection between the helm station and living spaces, the efficiency of the self-tacking headsail, and the exceptionally well-utilised onboard space.

This successful passage and strong testimonials further reinforce the Lagoon 38's reputation as a versatile, innovative, and highly desirable multihull for modern cruising.

The showcase was a smashing hit. A large crowd gathered in front of the Lagoon 38 on site, eagerly waiting to explore this model up close with our passionate experts onboard.

The features of this 38 ft catamaran deeply impressed guests—particularly its ease of handling, the protected helm station with excellent visibility for night sailing, the improved and more spacious layout compared to the Lagoon 380, and its well-designed social cruising elements.

Elevate your work-life balance with Lagoon

Have you noticed that starting from Lagoon's latest entry-level model—the Lagoon 38—choosing the 3-cabin version gives you access to a dedicated workstation located just next to the owner's suite below deck? This thoughtful feature is also available on the 3-cabin version of its sister model, the Lagoon 43.

For those who prefer working in a more convivial and social setting, the modular dining table that seamlessly connects the salon and cockpit offers an equally appealing workspace on board.

The new Lagoon 47—set to make its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival this September—introduces a highly versatile modular space known as the "Smart Room." This innovative area can be transformed to suit the owner's needs, whether as a walk-in wardrobe, utility room, guest cabin with a private bathroom, or even a dedicated workspace.

On larger Lagoon models, the flexibility extends even further, with both indoor and outdoor areas offering adaptable options for creating comfortable and inspiring workspaces on board.

As for connectivity, if you're planning offshore passages or voyages to more remote destinations—and have the budget—Starlink offers reliable performance you can count on. For a relaxed summer cruising season in the Mediterranean, a 4G router paired with local SIM cards provides a practical and effective solution.

Living aboard a boat no longer means compromising your lifestyle. Lagoon has thoughtfully considered a wide range of onboard scenarios, developing ingenious solutions to meet diverse needs and support the hybrid lifestyles of a new generation of sailors.

Lagoon Neo: giving Lagoon Catamarans a new life

In 2024, Lagoon launched the NEO program—an innovative and environmentally responsible initiative designed to give existing Lagoon catamarans a new life through expertly managed refits at Groupe Beneteau's shipyard. The first model to benefit from this second life was a 2012 Lagoon 620.

At this year's Multihull Boat Show in southern France, Lagoon showcased the NEO program with a dedicated stand, featuring both the Lagoon 450 NEO and the Lagoon 620 NEO on display. This time, we turn our attention to the story behind the Lagoon 450 NEO.

After 14 years in charter service, seven transatlantic crossings, and even enduring a storm in Corsica, the Lagoon 450 Lipopette has emerged stronger than ever. Arnaud de Vergnes, Head of NEO at Groupe Beneteau, reflects on the refit of Lipopette, highlighting a transformation focused on sustainability, modernisation, and thoughtful upgrades.

Three key priorities

  • Reliability and security—with new engines, new standing rigging, new valves and hull;
  • Focus on the aesthetics of the boat—with a brand new galley in the saloon, with a lot of wood repair and composite repair;
  • Efforts to improve the boat—with performance and comfort improvements, such as Iroko on the cockpit, performance sails, and moving from manual toilets to electrical toilets.

The exciting news is that this is just the beginning, with the refit of a Lagoon 42 already under way.

Local expertise matters — Sail Tahiti installed Incidence Sails on a Seventy 7

Lagoon proudly boasts an international network of over 230 authorized points of service. The most recent opening is a new service center in Polynesia thanks to our local partner, Sail Tahiti.

Located in Papeete, this center strengthens our international network by providing a strategic support point in the heart of the Pacific, along major ocean-crossing routes. Lagoon owners can now rely on comprehensive assistance for the upkeep, maintenance, and technical support of their catamaran, before or after an ocean passage.

In May, the Sail Tahiti team contributed to install the new Incidence Sails on "Babac", a highly-customized SEVENTY 7 owned by Boris Diaw—who has a prestigious international basketball career and embarks on his world tour project onboard the SEVENTY 7 after retirement.

The Sail Tahiti service is renowned for its responsiveness, personalized assistance, and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. Local expertise that guarantees impeccable support at every stage.

Present on every continent and in the most coveted cruising areas, Lagoon service centers guarantee owners a consistently reliable service, wherever they cruise.
