One of the south coast's biggest and best regattas for dinghies and small keelboats takes place once again in August, this year from 23rd to 28th (just before the Bank Holiday weekend).

Poole Week in association with Haven Knox-Johnston offers great racing, on-the-water coaching, post-race analysis and a daily prize-giving with prizes that are well worth winning. Entrants to the full series receive vouchers for daily tea and cake, and meals on the first and last days as well.

Class starts are expected for Darts, Wayfarers, RS200/400s, Flying Fifteens, ILCA 6s and 7s, XODs, Dolphins and Cornish Shrimpers. Other classes that turn out in sufficient numbers will be given their own start and there's also a handicap fleet.

Racing takes place in the afternoons, leaving the mornings free for other activities in and around Poole. Then it's worth sticking around after racing, because TracTrac has been booked again this year so you will be able to see exactly where you and your competitors went around the race course (different fleets on different days throughout the week). Even if that doesn't interest you, the daily prize draw could make you a winner whether you were at the front of the fleet, bringing up the rear or anywhere in between.

After all the action and in between the full schedule of social events, for many people there's no better way to round off the day than to enjoy a drink and a meal on the terrace with a stunning view over Poole Harbour.

Early-bird entry rates run until the 31st May, so now's a good time to get your entry in for Poole Week 2026.
