UK distributor of high-quality marine brands, Marine Components International Limited, has been appointed as the official international distributor for the EMEA regions for the marine descaler Seascour. The only descaler on the market to meet the Environmental Protection Agency Safer Choice criteria for products used outside.

Seascour is a step forward in prolonging the life of equipment on board. It helps it operate to its optimum efficiency through the fast, effective and environmentally safe way of removing biofouling on boats. Equipment includes marine heat exchangers, engine water jackets, refrigeration & HVAC systems, cooling systems, boilers & hot water systems, pumps & compressors, boilers & hot water systems and desalination units that encounter salt water.

Kelly Hendry, Seascour President, excited about this opportunity said, "Marine Components International Limited were the strongest candidates due to their industry knowledge, technical expertise and their extensive network, they are exactly what we were looking for in a distributor. This agreement will enhance the availability of Seascour across the region delivering faster access, expert support and a reliable supply, backed by their exceptional customer service."

Seacour looks after your equipment, your employees and the environment. It's the safest choice to use while your vessel is under way as its non-corrosive to metals, 100% organic, non-toxic, biodegradable, and less harmful for aquatic life. What sets Seascour apart is more than the green credentials. Not only does it hold the EPA Safer Choice certification and prolong the life on equipment on board. It can be used up to four times, and it reduces the downtime of a vessel as maintenance as it negates the need for a dry dock.

"Choosing Seascour is a clear and compelling choice for commercial shipping, workboats, superyachts, windfarms and all equipment that spends prolonged time in contact with seawater," explains Andrew Scott, Managing Director Marine Components International Limited. "Customers' are conscientiously seeking better and more efficient ways of going about everyday maintenance, and this makes the decaling task not just quicker and more cost effective, but one that is safer to use for employees and that has no impact on the environment. Based on the data, this really might be the most appropriate answer to solving your biofouling on the market."

Seascour will make its EMEA debut at Seawork International with Marine Components International, Southampton from the 9th to 11th June on stand G10.
