Kiel James Patrick has been named presenting sponsor of the Ida Lewis Distance Race, ushering in an exciting new chapter for one of the Northeast's most respected overnight offshore competitions.

With this partnership, the race - now officially the Ida Lewis Distance Race presented by Kiel James Patrick and scheduled for its 21st edition over August 14-15 - will further enhance its reputation for world-class race management, competitive racing, and a uniquely accessible 24-hour offshore experience for sailors at every level.

Founded in Rhode Island, Kiel James Patrick has become a staple of New England style, known for timeless apparel and accessories inspired by historic harbor towns and the enduring rituals of summer. With its flagship store located at Bowen's Wharf, the brand's connection to the Newport sailing community is both personal and professional.

"We've always been drawn to the traditions that bring generations together, whether it's time spent on the water or the stories passed down along the way," said the company's Founder Kiel James Patrick. "The Ida Lewis Distance Race represents that same spirit of endurance and legacy. To us, offshore racing isn't just a sport. It's a heritage of effort and adventure that we are honored to support and help pass down to the next generation of sailors."

As presenting sponsor, Kiel James Patrick will be integrated into race festivities, celebrating the grit and style that define offshore sailing.

"We're thrilled to welcome our new presenting sponsor," said Event Chair Anselm Richards. "The company's commitment to excellence and performance aligns perfectly with the spirit of this race. Together, we look forward to building on the event's legacy while expanding opportunities for sailors to test themselves on some of the most iconic waters in New England."
