The organizing authority of the ORC Double Handed World Championship 2026 in Scheveningen is introducing a series of support measures to make participation as easy as possible for both the Dutch ORC Club fleet and the international IRC fleet.

In cooperation with the Noordzeeclub and the Dutch Sailing Federation, these initiatives are designed to simplify the transition to ORCi certification, reduce costs, and give teams more flexibility in their preparations.

Our goal is simple: make it easier for more teams to compete at the highest level of double-handed offshore racing.

Three incentives for participants

1: Affordable ORCi certification measuring

To help teams transition to the ORCi rule required for the championship, the organization offers a special ORCi certification service for only €150. (excluding the costs for the certificate itself)

This applies to boats currently sailing under ORC Club or IRC certificates and significantly reduces the normal cost of obtaining an ORCi certificate.

2: Extended Early Bird entry

The Early Bird entry deadline has been extended.
Teams can now benefit from the €150 entry fee discount until 1 April 2026 (previously 1 March).
This additional month gives crews more time to organize measurements, finalize their planning, and complete their registration.

3: 50% discount on harbour fees

Teams that bring their boats to Scheveningen early will benefit from:
50% discount on harbour fees from the moment of arrival until the start of the championship.
This is particularly helpful for teams that want to arrive early for measurement, preparation, and training.

Register your interest early

We encourage both Dutch and international teams to contact the organization as soon as possible if they are interested in participating and making use of the certification support program.

Early registration helps us organize measurement capacity, scheduling, and certificate processing efficiently.

Registration and information can be found here.
