Marina Ibiza is opening up part of its facilities to help host one of the standout regional events of the season.

More than fifty young sailors will take to the waters off Playa d'en Bossa between 26 February and 2 March.

Marina Ibiza is lending its support to the Balearic Team Championship-Marina Ibiza Trophy and the Balearic Individual Championship-7th Fundación Julián Vilás Regatta, set to unfold between 26 February and 2 March in the waters off Playa d'en Bossa.

As part of this regional event, organised by Club Náutico Ibiza in partnership with the Balearic Sailing Federation, the marina will make part of its facilities available to keep shoreside logistics, technical coordination and race operations running smoothly.

On Thursday 27 February, the Balearic Team Championship-Marina Ibiza Trophy will get under way, a highly strategic format in which clubs compete on behalf of their respective associations.

From 28 February to 2 March, the Balearic Individual Championship-7th Fundación Julián Vilás Regatta will be held, crowning the new regional champions after three days of action on the racecourse off Playa d'en Bossa.

The races will bring together the regional elite of grassroots sailing, featuring standout sailors such as Jan Palou and María de Lluc Bestard (Real Club Náutico de Palma), Dani Capa (C.N. s'Estanyol), Stijn Oosterhaven and Luca Nueschen (C.N. Arenal), and Jorge Benítez (R.C.N. Puerto Pollença), each boasting experience and results on the national and international stage.

Lining up for Club Náutico Ibiza will be Lamis Casco, Ian Maurovich, Lluc Torres, Eric Torres, Nikola Donati, Valentina Pomo, Sofía Donati and Gerard Ribas, all aiming to make their mark on home waters.

Beyond the competition itself, the championship underlines Ibiza's status as a leading hub for grassroots sailing in the Balearics, while helping ramp up nautical activity ahead of the high season.

Through this partnership, Marina Ibiza is highlighting its commitment to developing water sports and to elevating grassroots sailing as a cornerstone of the sporting structure in the Balearic Islands.
