Come and visit the National Scorpion Class Association on stand B10 over the weekend of 21st/22nd February 2026, where there will be Scorpion sailors on hand to answer questions, show you the boats and to tell you how wonderful the fleet is to be a part of!
The main focus for the class association in 2026 is on the youth and female sailors in the fleet.
For our youth Sailors we have five Scorpion Foundation boats available for youth and junior sailors for the National Championships in Looe from 2nd- 7th August 2026. The Scorpion Foundation was set up to encourage young people who maybe unable to purchase their own boat to take part at Scorpion Open Meetings and National Championships.
Along with the boats the National Scorpion Association is offering reduced entry fees for the 2026 National Championships in Looe as we continue to encourage youth entries.
- £250 if either helmet of crew is U21
- £200 if either helmet or crew is U18
- £100 full U21 combo
- £25 full U18 combo
If you are a youth sailor who is interested in competing in this year's Nationals please come and see us at the show where we have some of our youth reps on hand to help. You can also contact the class association via email at
On the stand there will be fun and games and prizes up for grabs with our "wheel of winners!" There are many prizes and challenges on offer with the top prize being entry into a draw to win a P+B jib! You have to be in it to win it!
We have two boats on the Stand for the weekend:
- 1883 which is a Scorpion Foundation boat this year being sailed by youth sailors Sammy and Hattie!
- 2057 which is the current National Championship winning Winder boat sailed by Tom Gillard and Rach Gray. this boat was also winner of the Sailjuice winter series in 2025.
The class will be hosting their first woman's and youth event this year. The class already has a good number of female and youth Sailors across the fleet but would like to focus on getting them helming the boats. The event will consist of training, coaching and racing to help enhance confidence and skills in the boat! Look out for more details on this event to be released soon!
