You may have spotted that the RS Aero has been selected as the centrepiece of the official Travemünder Woche 2026 poster, a fantastic recognition for both the RS Aero class and the wider RS Sailing classes attending the RS Games 2026.

The artwork was created by maritime artist Frauke Klatt, whose approach to her work is as dynamic as the sport of sailing itself. Rather than relying on static reference images, Frauke immerses herself in her subject, studying the boats, sailors, and conditions before painting free-hand. The result is a powerful depiction that captures not just how sailing looks, but how it feels, full of movement, emotion, and life on the water.

RS Sailing's Commercial Director, Michiel Geerling, had the opportunity to meet Frauke Klatt at boot Düsseldorf last weekend and hear first-hand about her distinctive painting style and its mirrored energy. He commented:

"We are delighted to see the RS Aero chosen to represent not just the RS Games 2026, but the Travemünder Woche festival as a whole. Thank you for such a beautiful painting."

The artwork features prominently on the Notice of Race and will be depicted on official merchandise and other decoration throughout the festival.
