What to Expect

  • Date: 22 May 2026

  • The course: A classic cross-Channel challenge requiring sharp tidal awareness, smart weather strategy, and disciplined offshore sailing.
  • Moorings in Fécamp: Event moorings are provided for all competitors on arrival in Fécamp and are included as part of the race entry.
  • Live tracking: Real-time race tracking via Yellow Brick tracking allowing crews, supporters, and race management to follow the fleet's progress throughout the crossing.
  • The finish: A memorable and rewarding finish into the historic port of Fécamp.
  • Post-race social programme: Informal shoreside celebrations with fellow competitors, typically including cheese and wine tasting, champagne prizes, and plenty of time to relax and swap stories after the race. Subject to confirmation, popular social highlights such as Sailing's Got Talent are expected to return.
  • Prizegiving: The main prize-giving is traditionally held back at Sussex Yacht Club on Saturday 13th June 2026.
