Sail Port Stephens is set to enter a new era in 2026 with the launch of an expanded Race Village, delivering a vibrant onshore experience designed to connect sailors, spectators, and the wider Port Stephens community like never before.

The regatta will take place from 13 April to 3 May, with the enhanced Race Village running throughout the duration of the month-long event.

The new Race Village will ensure competitors and visitors, from the Commodores Cup to the Super Series, can enjoy the full Sail Port Stephens experience both on and off the water.

"The Race Village complements what Sail Port Stephens is known for," said Regatta Director Paul O'Rourke. "Now, with the village, it expands our identity within the Port Stephens community. It creates a space where sailors, families, locals, and visitors can all be part of the event, not just those on the water."

Anchoring the Race Village will be daily race-day activations, live entertainment, local food and beverage offerings, and a central hub for presentations and social activity bringing the energy of the regatta ashore from the first start through to the final prize-giving.

A new start-line grandstand will provide spectators with a front-row seat to the action every race day. The grandstand will feature live race commentary, streamed video from the start line, and drone footage capturing the fleet as it sets off. For those seeking a more relaxed viewing experience, Bay Harbour Café will offer a high-tea service overlooking the water.

While the fleet is racing, the Race Village marquee will host local vendors showcasing the best of Port Stephens, creating a welcoming space for families and the community to engage with the event throughout the day.

Each afternoon from 4:00pm, the Race Village will transition into the social heart of Sail Port Stephens. Located in the d'Albora Marina forecourt, competitors and spectators alike will be invited to enjoy live music, daily prize-giving, and hospitality supported by Mavericks on the Bay, Little Mavs, and beverage partners Heineken and Oatley Wines.

The expanded Race Village marks a significant evolution for Sail Port Stephens, reinforcing its reputation not only as one of Australia's premier sailing regattas, but also as a destination event that celebrates community, hospitality, and the unique lifestyle of Port Stephens.

Entries for Sail Port Stephens 2026 are now open, with full event details, dates, and registration available at sailportstephens.com.au.
