J/70 Türkiye Championship and Tenzor International Cup Final Leg - Overall

It had been predicted that the final race day may be a day off in Turgutreis Marina for the twenty J/70 boats racing, and this is exactly what happened.
The fleet was on the water in time and racing commenced at 12:00 PM but very light winds did not allow to finish the race number 10 and it was cancelled. Followed by RC instructions the teams were waiting for a whil,e but due to lack of the wind the fleet returned back to the marina.
Of course, it was a frustrating day for sailors and organizers alike, who have waited the new challenging races to complete the full program, but finally, everybody was happy to have 9 races in their pocket.
"We were lucky to have three days out of four with good wind and 9 races done, - commented Daniil Odintsov from the winning Tenzor Team. "The turning point was on Day 3, we went through it well and were able to make a breakthrough in the standings, which allowed us to win the regatta at the end. We played our game in the beginning, and started tracking our closest rivals only on the last race day. Thanks to the team, because sailing is a team sport and only the joint efforts of the team that the result is achieved".
This regatta was counted for 2025 J/70Turkish Championship, final of Türkiye Tour Series and first Leg of Tenzor International Cup Winter Series 2025/2026.
The overall winner in all classifications was Tenzor Team with Andrey Pushkin at the helm. They had a big gap of 8 points ahead of Denizcik team skippered by Gulboy Guryel and 11 points ahead of Ptichki Sailing Team lead by Elvira Pinchuk.
Bogatyrs, Nautique Yachting, Dolce Vita, Bars Sailing Team, Cheese Sailing, Ameera Jet and Eker Kaymak completed the top-10 of the leaderboard.
In nationals of J/70 Turkish Championship Denizcik team got the trophy second year in a row.
"I would like to thank organizers and all people involved, because all was great and professionally hosted. We won last year Turkish Championship and this year defended our title and won again. We are happy! Beautiful weather, we enjoyed sailing and wind a lot. Participants were a very high performance boats, so all of us had a great racing in strong fleet", - stated Gulboy Guryel, owner and helmsman of Denizcik team.
In Corinthians division awarding Cups and medals went to winners - Orient Express and prize-winners MYSK - Gelner Sailing Team and Ayaz Jr.
In the final term the winners of Turkiye Tour 5-stages Series also took their awards. It was Russian Bogatyrs reached gold podium in overall, followed by Tenzor Team on second place and Nautique Yachting getting bronze. In Corinthian division the best three were MYSK - Gelner Sailing Team, Efsane Yogurt and Orient Express respectively.
"We're so happy and proud to be hosting the big and status regatta here in Turgutreis D-Marin together with J/70 Turkish Association and Tenzor Sailing Club. It was fantastic sailing and fighting, all the teams from different yacht-clubs and countries show up and it was an exciting whirlwind of an event", - said Burak Zengin, CEO of Tenzor Sailing Club Türkiye at the prize-giving ceremony.
Every new international event gives a great opportunity to be sailing in a competitive fleet and makes all sailors better, both speed-wise and understanding. The next Leg 2 of Tenzor International Cup - J/70 Open Winter Series is scheduled for 18-21 of December 2025 and will be held together with BRICS Sailing Championship.
