Dinghies of many different shapes, sizes and speeds have entered the Fernhurst Books Draycote Dash, which takes place this weekend. It's the first of eight events in this season's Seldén Sailjuice Winter Series.

If you want to join the 70-plus entries already signed up, time is fast running short as online registration closes tonight (Tuesday 18 November) at 1159pm.

PAY & PLAY IN A MELGES 15

If you can't or don't want to bring your own boat, what about taking a Melges 15 doublehanded dinghy for a spin? It's the boat that was used to contest the recent Endeavour Trophy and now the class plans to use the events in the Seldén Sailjuice Winter Series to get Melges 15 racing regularly and to showcase this new class on the UK dinghy racing scene.

Sales and Event Manager Liam Pardy will be racing a Melges 15 with crew Lorna Glen, and if you want to line up next to them on this weekend's start line, drop Liam a line today: / +447702 077921

PHOTOS, COACHING AND FAIR COMPETITION

Remember that with every event in the Seldén Sailjuice Winter Series, Tim Olin will be out there snapping action photos of the fleet.

Three-time champion of this series, Simon Horsfield, is providing coaching input supported by new sponsor, insurance company Navigators & General.

And thanks to the finely tuned adjustments to the standard RYA Portsmouth Yardstick numbers curated by the long-established Great Lakes Group, the events in the Seldén Sailjuice Winter Series produce some of the fairest handicap racing available anywhere.

ENTER FOR THIS SEASON FOR £20 OFF MAGIC MARINE KIT

Entries are open for all eight events across the winter. Technical clothing specialist Magic Marine, after their sponsorship of last summer's Sailjuice Challenge, are offering a £20 voucher for anyone who enters two or more events before the Draycote Dash weekend.
