We're Heading to METS 2025

Were excited to return to METSTRADE 2025, the worlds leading marine equipment trade show, in Amsterdam from the 18th to the 20th of November. Youll find us in Hall 1, Stand 516, where well be showcasing our latest innovations in performance sailing hardware all designed and manufactured in the UK.

This year, were introducing an exciting line of new products that highlight our continued focus on strength, efficiency, and user-friendly design for sailors and boat builders.

High-Performance Swivel Cleat - DAME Award Nominee
Nominated for the 2025 DAME Design Award, the Allen High-Performance Swivel Cleat has been engineered to meet the exacting demands of high-performance skiffs such as the 29er, 49er and 18ft Skiff.

Featuring a 360 degrees ball-bearing base, the cleat arm rotates smoothly and frictionlessly, providing effortless line control from any angle. The advanced base design eliminates unwanted wobble, keeping the cleat at a consistent height for precise and reliable operation essential during high-speed manoeuvres.

A pair of dynamic bearing sheaves mounted on a separate swivel base ensures the line feeds perfectly into the cam cleat, reducing friction and maintaining a consistent trimming feel.

Supplied with two adjustable wedges, the system offers five different height and angle configurations to suit any setup. Available in blue or black, and with either a small or medium cam cleat, this innovative design sets a new standard in performance and control.

15mm Dynamic Block Range High Performance in a Tiny Package

The new 15mm Dynamic Block Range is the latest evolution of our super low-friction dynamic technology, delivering exceptional performance in an ultra-compact design. Constructed from glass-loaded nylon and featuring stainless steel ball bearings running on a stainless steel axle, these small but mighty blocks are perfect for lightweight control systems, sail integration, and soft-attachment rigging solutions.

Currently, two versions are available:

A2015-WEB: Designed for 10mm webbing strap attachment, with a breaking load of 160kg.

A2015-Tii: A soft-attachment version with a Tii-through hole for up to 4mm rope and a breaking load of 240kg.

Theyre ideal for take-up systems, low-load controls, or anywhere that demands smooth, efficient line handling in a compact package.

A4360 Forestay Lever

Were also introducing a modern take on a classic piece of rigging gear the A4360 Forestay Lever.
Manufactured from marine-grade 316 stainless steel, this lever offers strength, reliability and ease of use for quick rig tension adjustment. Its perfect for boats such as the Blaze, Contender, and Zenith, and serves as a direct replacement for the discontinued RWO R4540.

With a wide adjustment range of 218301mm between pins and an optional A5005 fast pin for secure locking, the new Forestay Lever makes rig setup and pack-down faster and simpler than ever before.

A4561-6 6mm Wire Compact Trapeze Ring

Small, strong, and practical the A4561-6 Compact Trapeze Ring is made from 6mm stainless steel wire and designed for sailors using a 1:1 purchase system on their trapeze height adjuster.
The carefully shaped loop is easy to grab and hook, while the top hole provides a clean splice point for the adjuster line.
Built for strength and durability, its a no-nonsense upgrade for sailors who want dependable performance on the wire.

A9200 Acetal Pivoting Mast Step

Building on the success of our aluminium version, the Acetal Pivoting Mast Step introduces a refined design and smoother articulation to optimise mast bend and rig control. Its pivoting action helps distribute rig loads more evenly, while the acetal construction keeps weight and cost down without compromising durability. Additional features include a stainless steel bar to take mast loads, a sloped design to prevent jib fouling, and a 7mm halyard hole for below-deck routing.

A1887 Halyard Retainer for 36mm Line

Tidy up your cockpit with the A1887 Halyard Retainer a clever little piece of hardware that uses spring-loaded stainless steel balls to grip and hold loose halyards securely.
Simply press your line into place, and it stays put until hoisting, when a knot or stopper ball will automatically release the line.
Perfect for keeping halyards neat on masts, spinnaker bags or cockpits a simple yet effective addition to any boat.

A2020WEB 20mm Single Dynamic Block for Webbing Attachment

Our new A2020WEB brings all the benefits of the Allen Dynamic range into a webbing-friendly design.
It uses our patented twin-row bearing system, with stainless steel balls running on a stainless steel rail for superior load capacity and long-term performance.
Ideal for sailmakers, harness lines and canvas work, it can be sewn in via a 10mm webbing strap for a strong, streamlined attachment.

Were looking forward to catching up with distributors, boat builders, and sailors from around the world at METSTRADE 2025. Come and see us in Hall 1, Stand 516 to explore these new products and discover the latest developments in our UK-made performance hardware.

At Allen Brothers, were always looking to expand our international network of distributors and stockists, particularly across Europe and South Africa.
