Global leader in AI-powered maritime vision systems, SEA.AI, is proud to make its Australian debut at the Sydney International On-Water Boat Show (Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour, November 13-16). Visitors can view live demonstrations of the award-winning Watchkeeper system and meet the SEA.AI team at Booth TP8.

Following its Innovation Route Award win at the Cannes Yachting Festival, SEA.AI brings its vision-based safety technology to the Australian market, delivering modular and accessible situational awareness for boaters of all kinds. From a single low-light camera to advanced three-camera configurations with two thermal units, Watchkeeper is designed for vessels large and small. Pricing starts at 8 990 AUD.

"Australia's rich coastline and vibrant boating culture make this debut especially significant," said Marcus Warrelmann, CEO of SEA.AI. "We believe that high-end maritime safety shouldn't be out of reach. With Watchkeeper's modular architecture and accessible price point, more boaters down under can benefit from a dedicated intelligent lookout onboard."

At the core of Watchkeeper is an onboard AI edge-computing module that processes real-time thermal and optical imagery to monitor a vessel's surroundings, detecting hazards that human lookouts, radar or AIS might miss. Trained on millions of maritime images, the system distinguishes vessels, debris, people in the water and marine mammals even in low visibility or darkness. It integrates with leading MFDs and navigation networks to deliver instant visual and audible alerts to the helm or handheld devices.

Beyond collision avoidance, Watchkeeper's AI-assisted thermal sensors provide rapid detection of persons overboard (MOB) and play a growing role in marine mammal protection, helping vessels recognise large marine life (including whale blows) and reduce strike risk in sensitive Australian waters.

Designed for both retro-fits and newbuilds, Watchkeeper offers flexible configurations suitable for commercial craft, powerboats, sailboats and yachts of all sizes.

With over 150 dealer and OEM partner locations globally and new distribution partnerships under way in Australia, SEA.AI is poised to support local sales, installation and service for Australian boaters.
