18ft Skiffs: Highlights of Club Champs Race 2 - Fast rides in the Sydney seabreeze

There was plenty of action on Sydney Harbour last Sunday, as the 18ft skiffs sailed Race 1 of their Club Championship and Race 2 of the SIXT 2025 Spring Championship, for the Alf Beashel Memorial Trophy.

The easterly breeze freshened to 20kts throughout the race, giving fast rides downwind, with the 18fters occasionally leaping completely clear of the water. The boat handling was absolutely top shelf.

Here's the highlights of the race, followed by the full length race - both expertly commentated by the top team in sailing: Andrew Buckland, Peter Shipway and James Bury.
