ILCA Midlands Grand Prix Final at Bartley Sailing Club

by John Ling 18 Oct 2025 06:22 PDT 12 October 2025

Bartley Sailing Club hosted the finals for the ILCA Midlands Grand Prix circuit sponsored by Performance Sailcraft, which finished with lots of visitors and members waiting for the wind to arrive so we could go racing.

The local race management team headed by Jeremy Higson did a great job with keeping calm and setting two challenging courses that had the fleet split and lots of place changes. In the end great fun was had by all sailors especially the 6 youths who had some exciting battles as to who would win etc.

Courtesy of Performance Sailcraft and Dinghy Buyer Direct, sailors had an amazing prize-giving with a great array of sailing items and trophies to share throughout the fleet.

There are a few pictures captured on and off the water this one just shows the big smiles on our faces! Thanks again to Bartley for hosting a great event you should be so proud. Congratulations to John Ling for retaining overall victory and Andy Allen for winning the ILCA 6 fleet for the third year in a row! And Osca from Blithfield winning the ILCA 4 fleet.
