Sevenstar Contest Meeting Mallorca

by Contest Yachts 15 Oct 2025 03:01 PDT 2-4 October 2025

A fantastic weekend has just been enjoyed at this year's Sevenstar Contest Meeting Mallorca, hosted through 2-4 October 2025, celebrating also a second return to Puerto Portals to the west side of the Bay of Palma.

By day, it was keen yet friendly challenges for the Contest Yachts' fleet spanning 15 to 22 metres (48-72ft) and including four of the 2025 European yacht of the Year Contest 63CS. And after the racing, relaxing, fun evenings stretched from beach club to water's edge dining, taking in the quayside Lila Portals, Tutti Sensi, Ritzi and Flanigan. All super reward for the competitive fine sailing out in the bay!

Again four races in two days were enjoyed, the winds following the standard Mallorcan mantra: in the absence of gradient wind, stand by your warps until the sea breeze builds, then go enjoy! And that the fleet did, lapping up the first day's three short courses, then the second day's longer 18-mile coastal race while the winds held and the sun stay

Just as this was the perfect Palma portrait, there was also a perfect performance from Contest 63CS Blue Vision, placing first in all four races, followed by Sunshine Elvi, another 63CS, with three seconds and one third placing. Contest 55CS Khione placed third. The trophies though extended way further, reflecting the inherent fun and camaraderie among the Contest family.

So, an excellent weekend with the most beautiful sailing in good wind, sun and atmosphere. A true celebration of Contest yachting. Next year, the Sevenstar Contest Meeting in Mallorca will take place 1-3 October 2026.
