The Nations Trophy 2025 concludes in Saint-Tropez

by ClubSwan Racing 13 Oct 2025 04:01 AEDT 8-12 October 2025

The Nations Trophy 2025 came to a close today in Saint-Tropez, with the support of the City of Saint-Tropez and the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, wrapping up an unforgettable week of ClubSwan Racing and marking the grand finale of the 2025 Nations League.

With over 50 Swan yachts and sailors from more than 30 countries, the event brought together the full ClubSwan family, from the newest ClubSwan 28s to the seasoned Rating fleet, in a spectacular celebration of sport, style and international spirit.

Saint-Tropez delivered sunny skies, vibrant shoreside events, and a light sea breeze that allowed the Race Committee to complete a full series for most classes. While Sunday's fading winds led to some cancellations, the energy throughout the week remained high, with close competition and tight battles across all fleets.

In the ClubSwan 50 class, Germany's Earlybird (Hendrik Brandis) delivered a dominant performance, sealing the overall win ahead of Hatari and Cuordileone. In the ClubSwan 36, Cuordileone claimed victory over Fra Martina and C-Lion, while Nadir triumphed in the hotly contested ClubSwan 42 fleet. Monaco's Vargen stood undefeated in the ClubSwan 43 class, and Ulika continued her strong form to win the Swan 45 title. The ClubSwan 28 fleet, which saw remarkable growth and talent this season, crowned Freya (Jay Cross, USA) as champion, just ahead of Goombay Smash and Play Bigger in a fleet filled with Olympic and professional talent.

In this edition of the Rating Class at The Nations Trophy, it was Quatre Quarts 4, the Swan 58 from France, that took the overall win with a consistent 2-1 scoreline over two coastal races. Switzerland's Fujin, a Swan 55, followed closely in second, while Italy's Azzurro, the powerful Swan 78, completed the podium in third. The inclusion of the Rating fleet added depth and diversity to the event, uniting Swan yachts of various sizes and styles under the shared spirit of performance and elegance.

"It's been an intense week, full of meaningful moments but, above all, of fun for our owners, who truly appreciated the unique setting of Saint-Tropez", said Giovanni Pomati, Nautor Swan CEO. "I also took part as an owner myself, to fully experience the atmosphere of the Rating group, which we brought for the first time alongside the One Design fleet. It was a positive experience that brought together the different souls of the Swan world, once again highlighting the strength and spirit of this incredible family".

Germany claimed The Nations Trophy 2025, thanks to the combined strength of Earlybird in the ClubSwan 50 class and Ambra in the Swan Rating division. A victory that perfectly embodies the spirit of this special event in Saint-Tropez, the first to unite both One Design and Rating fleets in a single celebration of performance, teamwork, and the shared passion that defines the ClubSwan world.

Beyond the racing, the week was enriched by vibrant social events, the elegance of Saint-Tropez, and seamless hospitality delivered by Nautor Swan, ClubSwan Racing and its partners. The event once again confirmed the Nations Trophy as a celebration not only of high-level racing, but of shared values, community, and passion for the sea.

The 2025 Nations League titles were claimed by some of the most consistent and competitive teams on the circuit. In the ClubSwan 50 class, Earlybird delivered a dominant season to secure the crown. Pez de Abril topped the ClubSwan 42 leaderboard, despite not competing in Saint-Tropez, Fra Martina held strong to take the overall win in the hotly contested ClubSwan 36 fleet, while in the ClubSwan 28 Marcello wins the Nations League and Anya Race is Boat of the Year.

"The 2025 ClubSwan Racing season has been a remarkable journey, uniting passionate sailors and world-class yachts across stunning venues and competitive events", commented Luisa Bambozzi, ClubSwan Racing Managing Director. "It's been a year defined by performance, elegance, and the strong sense of community that sets ClubSwan apart. With eyes now set on the USA and Japan, the 2026 season promises to further expand this global journey".

The Best Bowman Trophy was awarded to Nick Beulke of Earlybird, in a deeply emotional moment dedicated to the memory of Matteo Auguadro, the beloved bowman of Perhonen who tragically passed away in a mountain accident last January. The trophy itself, one of Matteo's harnesses, was presented by Perhonen owner Ross Warburton, symbolizing not only Matteo's exceptional skill and spirit on the bow, but also the enduring camaraderie and respect that bind the ClubSwan community together.

As official timekeeper of the entire ClubSwan Racing circuit, Rolex has accompanied and supported every step of this year's journey, reaffirming the shared values of excellence, precision, and passion that have united the brand with Nautor Swan for over 40 years.

At the Nations Trophy, DENZA, the premium electric brand by BYD, once again elevated the shoreside experience. A fleet of its cutting-edge vehicles provided a refined courtesy car service for owners and guests throughout the week.

Throughout the 2025 season, ClubSwan Racing has once again delivered an exceptional series of events, made possible thanks to the continued support of our valued partners. At The Nations Trophy in Saint-Tropez, the ClubSwan Lounge was the beating heart of the regatta village, created in collaboration with SL Med and Sportmer, offering a welcoming space for owners, crews, and guests to relax and connect. The hospitality, entirely hosted by ClubSwan Racing and Nautor Swan, reflected the elegance, warmth, and shared passion that define this community. A special thanks goes to all our official partners who accompanied us throughout the year, contributing to the success of every event, both on land and at sea.
