German Naval Yards has signed an agreement to complete the construction of the extraordinary 114-meter superyacht Project ELF, reaffirming its position among the world's leading builders of large and highly distinctive yachts.
Part of the European group CMN Naval, German Naval Yards is internationally recognized for creating some of the most complex and iconic vessels ever built — including the 143-meter Sailing Yacht A, one of the largest private sailing yachts in the world. With Project ELF, the shipyard continues its proud tradition of innovation, scale and craftsmanship that defines Germany's excellence in shipbuilding.
The impressive Project ELF spans 114 meters in length, with a beam of 15.8 meters, draft of 3.85 meters, and a gross tonnage of 4,950. Designed to accommodate 18 guests and 39 crew members, the vessel combines state-of-the-art engineering with striking exterior lines by Pindaros LLC assisted by Andy Waugh Yacht Design and interior by Pindaros LLC assisted by Laurent Champeau. Among her signature features are a 20-meter pool, sweeping decks and an array of bespoke design elements that will be revealed as construction progresses.
With more than two decades of yacht-building heritage and a lineage stretching back generations, German Naval Yards has consistently delivered projects that push the boundaries of size, design and technical achievement. Its facility in Kiel has been the birthplace of some of the world's most ambitious private vessels — testaments to German precision, engineering and craftsmanship on a grand scale.
"Our shipyard has long been recognized for both naval excellence and superyacht innovation," said Rino Brugge, CEO of German Naval Yards. "With Project ELF, we are once again showcasing German quality and craftsmanship on a vessel of exceptional size and sophistication. This project underscores our unwavering commitment to building some of the most remarkable yachts in the world."
Roger Friedrich of Junonia Yacht Consultants Ltd., Owner's Representative added: "We have full confidence in German Naval Yards' expertise and their ability to realize our vision for Project ELF. Their technical mastery, dedication to detail and experience with large yacht projects make them the ideal partner for a vessel of this magnitude."
Scheduled for delivery in 2028, Project ELF will represent not only a new milestone for German Naval Yards, but also a new benchmark in the world of custom superyacht construction — a creation destined to turn heads wherever she sails.
