Some of the most influential voices in marine innovation, sustainability and design will headline the inaugural Marine Impact Lab at Metstrade in Amsterdam on Monday 17 November.

The Marine Impact Lab has confirmed its first wave of speakers for the product and design panel, which includes Will Hopes (BAR Technologies), Alessandro Stagni (Northern Lights Composites), Etienne Le Pen (Kairos), and Moritz Möker (Holy Technologies).

Together they will tackle the key challenges shaping the sector, from circular materials to sustainable design, and debate whether innovation is best pursued as a shared path or competitive edge.

A second announcement featuring the speakers for the events and organisational change panel will follow in the coming weeks.

Created by leading consultancies Marine Futures and Foxall Munro, the Marine Impact Lab is a one-day, hands-on forum designed to help marine businesses cut costs, risks and emissions. Tickets are €150, limited to 100 seats and available to buy now.

The Lab brings together engineers, designers, sustainability leads, marketers and decision-makers to step out of the day-to-day and focus on practical solutions, with access to proven frameworks that cut impact, build resilience and accelerate progress across the industry.

Participants choose between two specialist tracks, the Product Track (led by Marine Futures) and the Organisational Track (led by Foxall Munro), ensuring content is directly relevant to their role and challenges.

Ollie Taylor, Director at Marine Futures, said: "This calibre of speakers makes the Marine Impact Lab a focal point for our sector. These are the organisations shaping the future of how we design, build and operate on the water, and for the first time, they'll be in the same room working through solutions together."

Marine Futures, founders of the MarineShift360 Lifecycle Assessment Tool (LCA), has worked with innovators across the industry, including BAR Technologies, through its Impact Accelerator Programme. BAR Technologies is conducting a comprehensive life cycle assessment of its WindWings® system and refining its designs with the help of MarineShift360.

The same approach is already delivering results across the sector. Williams Jet Tenders cut operational waste by 21% using lifecycle modelling, North Sails invested in solar saving 600 tonnes of carbon annually, and Starboard's Olympic windsurf concept reduced emissions by 19% through lower-impact materials.

Marine Impact Lab will give participants direct access to these strategies, equipping them to drive measurable impact in their own businesses.

Amy Munro, Co-Founder of Foxall Munro, said: "As a community we have long studied the barriers and enablers. Now, as a collective, we hold the tools to drive measurable change, and powerful industry case studies to prove what's possible. Attendees will leave these sessions equipped with contextualised, data-informed insights on impact reduction, and a clear strategic roadmap to turn ambitions into reality with lasting impact."

More than 950 professionals in 95 sectors, including the Australian Olympic Committee, now use Foxall Munro's Sustainability Toolbox to embed long-term sustainability strategies across their organisation, from grassroots initiatives to Olympic-level planning.

The Marine Impact Lab is supported by 11th Hour Racing, Metstrade, Northern Lights Composites, St. Maarten Heineken Regatta, ICOMIA and World Sailing.
