Benedict Whybrow and Gee made the long journey north from Bristol to join the Loch Earn Tasar fleet for this year's Scottish & UK Inland Championships.

The forecast for Saturday was not good with SE / Southerly winds from 0 to 11 knots and heavy rain. Race Officer Craig Moffett made the best of the conditions, managing to get the 3 races scheduled sailed.

Last year's champions Tom and Ben Taylor made the best of the conditions counting a 1,1,2 with Aaron Murray and Tanya Bartholomew counting a 2,3,1 and Calum and Colin Tait counting a 4,2,3.

Sunday dawned with sunshine and a westerly F2. R4 turned into a tense affair as the wind dropped & as it filled in again the fleet bunched up for the last beat. Tom & Ben picked up another win with Aaron and Tanya second and Calum and Colin third.

With two races to go, Tom and Ben were in pole position with Aaron and Tanya needing two race wins to take the overall victory.

Aaron and Tanya controlled R5 from start to finish to set up a winner takes all last race.

There was nothing separating Aaron & Tom as they approached the first windward mark, Tom and Ben managed to get parked on the mark trying to squeeze round which let Aaron & Tanya away. Aaron and Tanya held on to the finish with Tom and Ben closing in to take second with Calum and Colin third.

Congratulations to Aaron & Tanya who take the win on countback from Tom and Ben.

Overall Results:

1st Aaron Murray & Tanya Bartholomew
2nd Tom & Ben Taylor
3rd Calum & Colin Tait
4th Sean Tait & Martin Marshall
5th Benedict Whybrow & Gautier Castro (Gee)
