The Switzerland SailGP Team is gearing up for a pivotal month, with back-to-back events at two of the Rolex SailGP Championship's most prestigious racing venues: Saint-Tropez and Geneva.
- Back-to-back events coming up for Swiss SailGP Team in Saint-Tropez and Geneva
- Racing in Saint-Tropez takes place Friday 12 September (13:30 - 15:00) and Saturday 13 September (12:30 - 14:00)
- The Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix next week in Geneva (20 - 21 September) is officially sold out
The action begins this week on the Côte d'Azur, as Saint-Tropez hosts Event 9 of the Season on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 September. From there, the 12-strong F50 fleet heads to Geneva for the highly anticipated debut of the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix (20 - 21 September), where tickets have just sold out.
For Swiss driver Sébastien Schneiter, this week will be his second time driving in Saint-Tropez, but the first time racing there with this crew onboard F50 Eiger. Racing runs from 13:30 - 15:00 on Friday, and 12:30 - 14:00 CEST on Saturday, with the top three teams progressing to the afternoon's final race showdown.
With just four events left in SailGP's 2025 Season, every race is critical. The Swiss currently sit seventh overall, 8 points ahead of Denmark's ROCKWOOL Racing and 14 points behind Canada.
"After Sassnitz last month, we've had some time to prepare and now it's full steam for us all, going into these two events." said Schneiter. "Saint-Tropez is a fantastic venue with a wide range of conditions. If the Mistral comes in like it has in the past, we could be in for some pretty exciting and spectacular racing out there."
Last month's Germany Sail Grand Prix in Sassnitz produced the most extreme racing of the Season - and SailGP Championship - so far, with the Swiss joining the 100 km/h club. With new rudders and innovations onboard for this weekend, speeds are expected to climb even higher.
Schneiter added: "Sassnitz was just the start of racing beyond 100 km/h. With the new rudders coming in this weekend and everything we've learned with the 18m wing, we're ready to push harder - not just on speed, but on our maneuvers around the course too."
Fans in Switzerland can follow all the action live on Blue Sport and on SailGP's YouTube channel. Full broadcast details, including international channels and times, are available in SailGP's How to Watch guide.
The Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix follows next week (Saturday 20 - Sunday 21 September) in Geneva, with fans set for an unforgettable first edition. Tickets are now sold out but head to the Switzerland SailGP Team Instagram to be in with a chance of winning two grandstand tickets.
