Avikus, HD Hyundai's specialized Autonomous Navigation Technology subsidiary, announced today the release of one of the safest and most reliable collision avoidance and route planning navigation systems on the market - NEUBOAT Navi with Control.

The new system offers the following revolutionary capabilities:

  • Object Recognition
  • Collision Avoidance
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Smart Autopilot with Route Planning
  • CAN Bus Integration with Engine and Steering Control
The next evolution of the NEUBOAT system is NEUBOAT Navi with Control, providing real-time information on the location, distance and speed of both stationary and moving objects ahead. NEUBOAT's smart autopilot and user-friendly interface make every maneuver smooth and effortless. With its ability to seamlessly integrate with existing systems, NEUBOAT Navi with Control ensures a comprehensive and cohesive boating experience, enhancing safety, efficiency, and enjoyment on the water. Users can review and select optimal routes, receive alerts about hazards and obstacles, and accept rerouting suggestions on a journey providing exceptional confidence. It has innovative features such as adaptive cruise-like functionality, which matches the speed of a boat ahead and even slows and halts the vessel when a threat is detected. It works with single engine or more, as well as electric steering on outboard boats and does not require a joystick.

"Building on the industry-leading and award-winning innovation of the NEUBOAT Dock system, we have revolutionized on the water navigation with the release of the new Navi with Control," said Do-Hyeong Lim, CEO of Avikus. "Offering boaters exceptional situational awareness and a robust feature set that integrates with some of the most cutting-edge chartplotters and autopilot technology in the industry, NEUBOAT gives users the tools to simplify route planning and navigation. It's hazard recognition on the fly is exceptional and will give boaters unprecedented peace of mind."

NEUBOAT Navi with Control is comprised of a front-facing LiDAR module with an integrated 142-degree FOV camera with 60FPS capture and built-in LiDAR detection up to 500m, all housed in an IPx6 rated enclosure, capable of withstanding the harshest of marine conditions. For image processing capabilities, NEUBOAT has an Object Recognition Unit, that can be mounted within the vessel. In addition, for Control functionality there is a Camera Conversion Unit and Engine Gateway included.
