The Cannes Yachting Festival opens its gates today to welcome visitors from one end of the Croisette to the other.

For six days, in the Bay of Cannes, in the heart of the French Riviera, 711 boats ranging from 5 to 50 metres - monohull, multihull, rigid or semi-rigid hull design, sailing or motor type, new or pre-owned - are being showcased by more than 680 exhibitors, including leading international boat builders. More than 150 boats that have just left their workshops for the first time are being launched on the water to make their world debut at the prestigious Cannes Yachting Festival. Alongside these boats, the areas on land accommodate equipment suppliers, engine manufacturers, and service companies...

"Europe's largest in-water boat show is opening today! My teams and I are immensely proud to conceive and build a show of this scale with more than 710 boats across the two ports. As always, our main objective is to satisfy our customers, serve the marine industry and put on the best event possible for our visitors. We are set on giving each boat, brand, piece of equipment, and innovation the best showcase. I hope that our visitors will find the boat or equipment of their dreams, and that the new products our exhibitors are presenting will receive the best welcome. I hope you all enjoy a superb festival, and that these six days in Cannes will lead to fruitful discussions and transactions," adds Sylvie Ernoult, director of the Festival.

As is the case every year, the boat show has been organised between the Vieux Port and Port Canto with 358 new 12- to 45-metre motor boats - monohull, multihull, rigid hull or semi-rigid hull - on one side, plus all the equipment manufacturers and service companies related to this industry on the other side, in Port Canto, the sailing world setting a new record with 128 new monohull and multihull boats, the Power Boat Marina accommodating 180 boats up to 13 metres long, the brokerage sector with around 45 pre-owned boats ranging from 25 metres to 55 metres in water, and the water toys area.

And since conviviality and sharing moments are key at the show, a "Happy Hour" is being offered in all Port Canto restaurants, and in particular the Port Canto food truck village, from Tuesday to Saturday, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. (running on Friday evening until 10 p.m.), all set in a musical atmosphere. Additionally, the "yacht toys" exhibitors are providing in-water demonstrations during the lunch break from 12:30 to 1:20 p.m.

To continue raising visitors' awareness, the Cannes Yachting Festival is once again offering its Innovation Route with forty exhibitors presenting eco-efficient solutions for a better sailing experience. Visitors can discover the exhibitors through the dedicated route identified in the pathways, in the catalogue and on the website, but also meet them during their interview at the "innovation studio". This evening, the new Innovation Route Awards will honour 5 winners.
