Camper & Nicholsons opens new Design Studio in Viareggio

by Camper & Nicholsons 8 Sep 23:00 PDT

Camper & Nicholsons, the world's oldest and most respected yachting company, has officially opened its new Design Studio and office in Viareggio, marking a major step in the brand's expansion of services in new build sales, yacht refit, and interior and exterior design.

The new space, complete with a dedicated Design Studio and Materials Lounge, brings Camper & Nicholsons closer to its clients, while embedding the creative and technical expertise required to deliver exceptional projects.

"Today isn't just about a new address. It's about a new chapter," said Paolo Casani, CEO of Camper & Nicholsons. "With this studio in Viareggio, we reaffirm our roots and expand into areas that strengthen our heritage: new build sales, project management, refit, and design. Our promise is to provide a seamless service, from concept to cruising."

The Viareggio team is led by Daniela Duck, Managing Director of Camper & Nicholsons Italy and Group Head of New Build, supported by New Build Sales Manager Francesca Ragnetti and full creative design team.

The studio introduces three major service expansions:

  • New Build Sales & Project Coordination - offering stronger presence at shipyards, with structured oversight and transparency for clients.

  • Refit Services - delivering technical upgrades and full-scale yacht transformations, in partnership with leading shipyards worldwide.

  • Design Services - curating interior and exterior concepts for yachts as well as residential projects, supported by the Materials Lounge and a digital configurator that allows clients to visualise their spaces in real time.

"Our clients can now experience a truly collaborative environment," said Duck. "This is where owners, shipyards, and our team come together to create yachts of the highest quality. With the Materials Lounge and digital configurator, decisions become faster and more accurate."

Strategically located in Viareggio, Camper & Nicholsons studio sits alongside Italy's most renowned shipyards, reinforcing proximity and efficiency. At the same time, the company is equally positioned to deliver new builds and refits with shipyards worldwide, leveraging its long-standing global partnerships to guarantee quality and consistency across every project.

The Design Team is already at work on its first new build project, while several refit projects are also under way. The company's Technical Team continues to oversee numerous ongoing new build and refit projects, consolidating Camper & Nicholsons reputation as a trusted partner in yacht construction.

"This is just the beginning," Casani added. "We are shaping the future of yachting by uniting sales, new build, refit, and design under one roof, creating a seamless journey from concept to cruising."
