Finn Northern Championship 2025 at West Riding Sailing Club - Preview

The Finn Top Dogs Return! Hosted by Guy Cokill the Championship Open 2025 returns to the club on Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th September '25. With travelling sailors known to travel from as far afield as Scotland this weekend of racing is another WRSC Open not to be missed.

Races: There will be a maximum of 7 races. A maximum of 1 discard will be allowed after 5 races are sailed. The first race will not start before 12:00 on Saturday. The last race will not start after 15:00 on Sunday. The target duration of each race will be 45 minutes. The following schedule may be flexed if weather conditions dictate.

Briefing: There will be a competitors briefing at 11:30 on the Saturday and 09:30 on the Sunday.

Sailing Instructions: The sailing instructions will be available at the Club at registration.

NOR: Download the Notice of Race from the top of the page.

Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the first three boats overall. Other prizes may also be awarded.

Finn Entry Fees: The entry fee for the event is £40, payable at registration on Saturday 13th September by card cash or bank transfer.

Food & Social: The entry fee includes a hot meal after racing on Saturday and sandwiches after racing on Sunday. Bacon sandwiches will be available to purchase on Saturday and Sunday morning. The club bar will be open throughout the weekend.

Camping: Free camping is available in the club grounds from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon, access will be provided to the toilets and showers throughout the weekend. Anyone intending to arrive on Friday should contact Guy Cokill to organise access.

Sailing at WRSC is an all inclusive sport. The WRSC Finn Northern Championship Open 2025 unities sailors from across the region and UK. The Northern Championship Open gives younger and older sailors the opportunity to race against all levels. Finn sailors of all abilities are welcome to take part in the WRSC Finn Northern Championship Open 2025.
