Marine 13 National Redwing Championship at Tenby Sailing Club

by Dan Jackson 31 Aug 16:11 AEST 24-29 August 2025

Hot on the heels of hosting the GP14, Enterprise and Miracle class National Championships, Tenby Sailing club once again welcomed the National Redwing class back for their week of racing from August 24th - 29th.

A small but select group completed five races with four visiting boats from Looe SC joining the six boat Tenby fleet for some fun in what tuned out to be a predominantly windy week, accompanied by swells from the remnants of Hurricane Erin. The battle for the championship went down to the last race with just one point separating the top two boats.

Next year the class will again host two national event with an inland championship and will also return to Looe for a three day national championship in July. Further west the fleet continues to grow in Tenby with class racing and a local traveller series planned for 2026.
