The International BoatBuilders' Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) has announced its 2025 Education Conference line-up, featuring an expanded schedule of seminars, workshops, and Main Stage sessions for marine industry professionals.
A key highlight will be an Oct. 7 panel on managing tariffs, trade, and supply chain risk, led by NMMA's Robyn Boerstling, senior vice president of government relations. The discussion will cover USMCA renegotiations, global trade challenges, and how the industry can present a unified voice to policymakers.
NMMA member manufacturer Ilmor Marine welcomed Michigan state policymakers, legislative staff, marine industry leaders, and NMMA members to its new marine technology and manufacturing facility in New Hudson, Mich. last week for a Michigan Boating Technology Briefing & Demonstration. Hosted in partnership with NMMA, the event spotlighted the technologies driving the future of recreational boating and to further inform Michigan's Maritime Strategy, which aims to position the state as a national leader in maritime innovation.
The Newport International Boat Show presented by BankNewport has announced a full slate of new activities to entertain and educate visitors. Tickets are now on sale for this year's Show to be held September 11-14, 2025, at the Newport Yachting Center Marina in downtown Newport, Rhode Island. The Newport International Boat Show, now in its 54th year is one of the largest and most prestigious boat shows in the Northeast, spanning over 17 acres within historic downtown Newport, Rhode Island.
Legacy Harbour Marina, a familiar destination along the Caloosahatchee River in downtown Fort Myers, is moving forward with plans to rebuild following the damage caused by Hurricane Ian. AIRN Management, LLC, which owns the marina, has partnered with Bellingham Marine to lead the redevelopment. Construction began in early 2025, with the marina projected to reopen in Q1 2026.
