An excellent fleet of two dozen teams from across Finland participated in the 2025 Finnish J/70 National Championship in Mariehamn, Finland, hosted by the very capable RC/PRO team from Ålandska Segelsällskapet.

In the end, eight races were run, much to the delight of the exhausted but very happy crews!

It was a "tale of two cities" for the top of the leaderboard. In one corner, it was a full-on battle all weekend long for the top of the podium between two very well-sailed teams. Both Victor Mesterton's team and Lucas Karlemo's crew traded off 1sts and 2nds every race, with each suffering one big hiccup to discard.

In the end, Mesterton's team of Simon Karlemo, Emil Lindblom, and Ville Varesmaa managed to post five 1sts and two 2nds for 9 pts net. Meanwhile, Karlemo's crew of Ronja Gronblom, Livia Varesmaa, Atte Timberbacka, and Sandra Sonneborn managed to post three 1sts and four 2nds for 11 pts net.

Rounding out the podium was Henrik Lundberg's team of Dick Harju-Jeanty, Christian Johansson, and Milker Lundberg, who managed to finish with 24 pts net.

The balance of the top five consisted of Bjorn Hansen's crew in fourth with 26 pts net and Markus Ronnberg's team with 29 pts net.
