The Admiral's Cup 2025 | Sean Langman Interview

It’s been a long haul to get Back 2 Black up to speed for an Admiral’s Cup series and onto the water. So it was a relieved Sean Langman that we spoke to shortly before his boat docked out for the Channel Race.

The Admiral's Cup 2025 | Channel Race Start

The Admiral’s Cup 2025 | Channel Race Start – the first race of the series sent the fleet east of Cowes towards a mark off Selsey Bill and then heading down to Le Havre. The very fluky light conditions gave the race a ‘snakes and ladders’ atmosphere…. sometimes you were ahead and at others you went backwards, or at least stood still.

There was no Media Boat available today but fortunately Zen invited Bow Caddy out on their support boat. All support boats have strict conditions and can’t be closer than 250 metres to the fleet, resulting in some bouncy footage. Due to those restrictions we weren’t able to get close to the two Aussie boats which were following the mainland shore.

Stay tuned for more.
