Extra X90 Fast M/Y IVA launch ceremony

by Extra Yachts 16 Jul 02:25 PDT

Extra Yachts is pleased to announce the launch of the first unit of the X90 Fast. A sporty 28-meter model, built in CE class and entirely in GRP. The client was introduced by Kristina Falkone of Aberton Yachts.

The yacht will be on display at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025.

Each EXTRA yacht is designed to offer a unique experience: large areas, modern design, and spaces created to ensure smooth and natural onboard living. The design boasts a strong and distinctive identity while allowing room for personalization. The layout is contemporary, with dedicated areas for relaxation and entertainment, an open kitchen, and integrated technologies. Everything is aimed at enjoying the sea in an innovative way, without compromising on style.

The exterior and interior design is by Hot Lab studio, while the naval engineering is handled by the shipyard.

The new X90 Fast stands out for its unmistakable lines. The subdued design of the windows concealed in the hull, allows for the linear silhouette of the profile to be maintained and for natural light to flood the interior. Indeed, we find a spacious living room, separated from the stern cockpit by the typical galley with up/down windows, which not only provides a partition between the two spaces, but also functions as a transit and distribution area. From the galley the crew can reach both their quarters, located forward of the engine room, and the sun deck (also served by an external walkway). All this to leave the fore lounge and the wheelhouse (with smoked glass closure) free from crew transit and, if necessary, to the exclusive use of guests.

The outdoor areas constitute the true strong point, relying on 86sqm of volume. The cockpit develops on three levels: 8/10-seater dining table, living area with C-shaped sofa and sunbathing spot and finally, at water surface, the bathing section.

Below deck, there are 4 double cabins served by private bathrooms, with a master cabin amidships to take advantage of the 7.1 metre maximum beam.

A crew of four people finds accommodation in two cabins with private bathrooms.

The propulsion system includes three IPS 1350 Volvo Penta engines of 1000 hp each, allowing to reach a maximum nominal speed of 30 knots. The cruise speed is 24 knots, while at 12 knots the yacht range is 1000 nautical miles.
