Lanzarote Calero Sailing Team wrapped up their participation in the 44Cup Marstrand in 10th place after a week marked by extreme weather conditions that tested the international sailing elite. Strong winds and a rough sea state caused by Friday's storm created a technically and physically demanding setting, even forcing the cancellation of the previous day's racing for safety reasons.

Although the final result (10th with 100 points) may seem below their performance in Porto Cervo, the team emphasizes that these were two completely different scenarios. The sea, wind, and wave conditions in Marstrand were in a league of their own, demanding constant adaptation and high-stakes decision-making on every leg of the course.

Alfredo González, tactician and project director, stated: "The overall assessment is positive. There is nothing that worries us—everything is going according to plan. We know this is a challenging class and it takes time. The most important thing is that the team is fully committed and motivated. We are already focused on the World Championship in the Netherlands."

Despite not making it to the podium, the team completed every race and showed clear progress in manoeuvres, coordination, and decision-making. The team's evolution is steady and solid, strengthening the structure of a young crew competing in one of the world's most demanding sailing classes.

Team Nika claimed the overall victory after a dramatic final day, followed by Aleph Racing and Team Charisma. The surprise of the day came from GeMera, who scored two race wins on the final day. Meanwhile, Lanzarote Calero Sailing Team continues their learning curve, aiming to arrive in top form at their next major challenge: the 44Cup World Championship in Scheveningen, Netherlands, from August 28 to 31.
