by Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club 27 Jun 00:10 PDT 29–30 November 2025

The Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club (RFBYC) is proud to announce that the 2025 International Classes Regatta (ICR)—the Club's premier annual dinghy event—will take place on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November 2025.

Now in its 36th year, the ICR has earned a stellar reputation as an outstanding lead-up regatta for competitors preparing for their respective National Championships. The event continues to attract a high calibre of local, interstate, and international sailors across a wide range of classes.

We are excited to confirm that the Contender and WASZP Classes will be hosting their State Championships in conjunction with this year's ICR. In addition, the Western Australian Para Sailing Championships will also run as part of the weekend, promoting inclusive and competitive sailing for all.

Entries are now open, with racing to take place across three course areas on the stunning waters of Freshwater Bay and Melville Water West.

Eligible Classes

Single-Handed: Optimist, O'pen Skiff, ILCA 4, ILCA 6, ILCA 7, Hansa Liberty, Hansa 303, International OK Dinghy, BIC Techno, WindFoil, WASZP, Moth

Double-Handed: 29er, Mirror, 420, 505

Additional classes may apply to the Organising Authority for consideration.

RFBYC is also delighted to welcome back Gill Australia as our principal sponsor, offering premium prizes across the fleets, and MonkeyFist Marine, who will once again host their popular Pop-Up Shop onsite throughout the weekend.

We welcome and encourage interstate and international competitors to join us in Perth for this iconic regatta. Charter boats may be available on request. For all charter and entry enquiries, please contact:

The Notice of Race is now available on the Event Webpage and entries can be submitted online. Join us for an unforgettable weekend of competition, camaraderie, and world-class sailing at the Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club.
