Beneteau unveils the new Oceanis 52 - a step beyond - designed to move you

by Beneteau Group 26 Jun 2025 13:31 PDT

The new Oceanis 52 by Biscontini-Nauta Design ushers in the 8th generation of Oceanis cruising yachts and blends power, elegance, innovation, and lineage.

Within the BENETEAU brand, this iconic concept has boldly united style and comfort for nearly 40 years. This premium yacht redefines standards of comfort and craftsmanship, giving people who love sailing the confidence and freedom to explore the world's seas in safety.

Continuing a legacy of innovation

The first of a new generation, the Oceanis 52 is the result of meticulous craftsmanship by a dedicated team, and it is perfectly aligned with the expectations of today's sailors.

For over two years, constant dialogue with a panel of BENETEAU owners and our large network of distributors worldwide has helped us understand evolving sailing practices and uncover good opportunities for improvement - always focussing on the end customer.

This collective expertise informed the design process led by the architect Roberto Biscontini, and the team from Nauta Design along with twenty specialists at BENETEAU, resulting in a highly integrated and coherent new Oceanis yacht.

But they did not start from scratch for the Oceanis 52. Building on the success of the Oceanis 51.1, the bestseller in its category for six years, it capitalises on 39 years of continuous innovation elevating the cruising experience. In every sense an owner's yacht, it seamlessly blends elegance with practicality, and innovation with safety.

The beauty of simplicity

From the moment you lay eyes on the Oceanis 52 you will be captivated by its sleek stern lines and the perfect balance of its elegant profile. The pronounced chine conveys a striking feeling of energy and power, while the living space in the generously proportioned cockpit - enhanced by a maximum beam extending all the way to the transom, an efficient Biscontini hull hallmark - is second to none, and 30% larger than the Oceanis 51.1.

Intuitive ergonomics are at the heart of this inspired design. The double C-shaped benches form a flowing, diamond-shaped layout that promotes smooth, natural movement from the companionway to the lifting swim platform. The layout is cleverly designed to match every moment of a cruise, whether it is enjoying an aperitif, sharing a meal, or lounging in the sun.

With two height-adjustable tables, the space easily adapts to crew member preferences, giving everyone the freedom to relax or move around as they please. With comfort in mind, the generous central seating area features a fridge and a plancha grill, perfect for a great time at anchor. In this layout, the sundeck extends the cockpit on both sides of the companionway, in addition to two more lounging areas on the foredeck.

When cruising, the aft cockpit becomes a manoeuvring station, designed to make handling intuitive. The separation of the primary and secondary winches enhances deck organisation and simplifies line stowage, while the step improves access to the side deck making for safe movement on board.

At the helm, the skipper navigates with precision using a 12-inch screen guiding the twin-rudder hull with ease, propelled by a powerful rig. Tacking is effortless, thanks to the self-tacking jib or large genoa. A Code Zero set on the bowsprit delivers solid average speeds when sailing downwind, without having to leave the cockpit.

Sailors looking for a real thrill will love the First Line version. Its taller mast and overlapping genoa add an extra 49 m2 of all-important sail area. This high-performance setup combines speed and comfort, delivering an even more enjoyable cruising experience.

Elegance, attention to detail and entertainment on board

Every detail inside the Oceanis 52 reflects BENETEAU's commitment to creating a stylish and inspiring experience. The Oceanis yacht's signature gently sloping companionway, draws you into a living space where the C-shaped galley blends seamlessly into the design. Fitted with a full-height refrigerator and the option of a second one, bringing the total capacity to 450 litres, it offers essential storage for extended family cruises. Corian worktops and a service hatch with plenty of storage space show our attention to detail, turning meal preparation into an everyday pleasure. At the heart of the yacht, the saloon is designed to inspire unforgettable moments of connection and togetherness.

Top quality upholstery using high-density foam, offers exceptional comfort, while sanded oak woodwork and elegant trims create a warm, inviting atmosphere. With a choice of three elegant fabric colours the yacht can be customised, reflecting BENETEAU's dedication to creating an interior just for you.

Understanding that true comfort hinges on tranquillity, BENETEAU has painstakingly perfected the Oceanis 52's soundproofing. In addition to screwed-down soles, jack-operated hatches provide access to technical areas, significantly reducing background noise. The standard Yanmar engine with a lifting propeller delivers a generous 110 hp and smooth, silent sailing, making for optimal performance.

A remarkable owner suite

The focal point of this amazing interior, is the impressive owner's suite, which is spacious and has a premium feel. The ultimate in comfort, it has an upholstered headboard, a spacious 160 cm bed, and plenty of storage space: two hanging lockers, large coaming compartments and a large drawer under the bed head. Natural light pours through large portholes, which offer a stunning sea view, while anti-glare spotlights and warm white ambient LEDs create an intimate atmosphere in the evening.

Every detail of the Oceanis 52 has been designed to deliver an exceptional sailing experience, where design, elegance, and comfort come together to create unforgettable moments at sea.

A new standard for cruising

The Oceanis 52 redefines the standards of fast cruising monohulls. Every line, every material, every innovation has been designed to enhance the experience at sea, whether alone or with family. With its diamond-shaped cockpit, integrated chart table, smooth descent, and attention to materials, it embodies a bold and demanding approach. The forward cabin, featuring a large rectangular bed, offers rare comfort. A sailing yacht designed for those who sail with a single ambition: to become the reference.
