The Solution Class Association invites you to join us for our next open meeting at Lee-on-the-Solent Sailing Club (LOSSC) over the weekend of the 19th and 20th of July.
Situated in the central Solent, a renowned sailing area between the Isle of Wight and mainland England, you can be assured of champagne sailing in bright sunshine with 12-15 knots of the finest southwesterly breeze available. (Other forecasts are available.) Combine this with LOSSC being home to the largest fleet of Solutions in the world (if you didn't already, you must reread "in the world" in the voice of Jeremy Clarkson)—this really is an event not to be missed!
Following the racing, you have the opportunity to relax and relive the excitement of the day with your fellow competitors in the clubhouse, where SailGP will be shown on the large-screen TV. An evening meal will be served, followed by Sprucy's nautical-themed quiz.
Competitors are encouraged to pre-enter via the Lee-on-the-Solent Sailing Club website, where camping and motorhome pitches are also available.
Will the newly re-appointed four-time national champion Ian Morgan prevail again, or will you come out on top?
National Masters winner Col Smedley has previously been very quick at LOSSC and could push Ian off the top spot.
Nick Martin will have the home advantage at this event and will be one to watch.
With regulars James Jarvey attending SailGP and Martin Tubb refusing to return from Canada mid-holiday, they are unable to compete. We are sure of some exciting and unexpected results. Please enter here.
Combined with the Phantom and Blaze fleets we are looking forward to a great festival of racing on one of the best open water race-courses on the South coast.
