Soling Class International Friendship League Championship at Real Club Náutico de Madrid

The regatta, organised by the Real Club Náutico de Madrid and which has been taking place since last Friday on the San Juan reservoir in Madrid, has come to an end, completing the established programme of nine races.

In the Silver Group are Alfonso Colón de Carvajal, Francisco Javier Pérez, Kiko Mas, all under the banner of the RCN de Madrid; Pedro Pires de Lima (Portugal | A. N. de Lisboa); Henry Thomas, (USA | Severn Sailing Assoc.); Emanuele Dufour (RCN Madrid) and concluding the list of 15 registered boats is the Frenchman Francois Gombeaud (France | Y.C. Ludwigshafen).San Martín de Valdeiglesias, 14th June 2025.

The Real Club Náutico de Madrid closes its second day in the International Friendship League Championship Soling Class. A race that began yesterday in the Madrid reservoir of San Juan, in San Martín de Valdeiglesias, in which two races were closed at the beginning of the qualifying round.

Today, with slightly better wind conditions although with a slight delay and a longer day concluding at around 19.30 hours, the day ended with 8 knots of westerly wind, which allowed a total of three races to be completed, making a total of five, with one discard being applied and giving the ticket for the Gold Group to the eight best international crews participating in the Madrid waters of San Juan.

The German team of Segelclub Asel Sued, led by Roman Koch, with Alex Hasenclever and the local Guillermo Héctor Parodi in the team, has taken the lead with 5 points, after closing these two rounds with 1-1-2-1-DNC, a result that has been removed.

Along with the German boat, the local Juan Pablo de Diego, together with his brother José Manuel and Julio Soria, who have 6 points, have obtained the ticket to the gold fleet. Provisional bronze goes to another German representative: Michael Dietzel (Bayerischer Y.C.) with 9 points.

Carlos Elosegui (RCN de Madrid) is behind with 10 points, followed by the representatives of the United States: Matias Collins (Severn Sailing Assoc.) and Björn Geisler (Germany | E. Segel-Verein '86), both with 12 points; Jaime Alonso-Allende Aznar (RCN Madrid), with 13 points and closing these 8 best crews is Víctor Perez (C.M.San Antonio de La Playa) with 16 points in his locker.
