The second day of regattas reserved for the WASZP and WING classes took place regularly in the Brindisi basin.

The particular wind conditions allowed the entire scheduled competition program to be carried out and there was no shortage of excitement. The teams challenged each other with adrenaline-filled tacks and evolutions, attracting many citizens and tourists who populate the Salento city these days to the docks.

In the regatta village, only the preparatory activities for the competitions and the pre-race briefings took place, while the cultural events and the award ceremonies were cancelled as a sign of mourning for the tragic death of Brigadier Chief Carlo Legrottaglie, which occurred just a few kilometers from Brindisi. The organization and athletes of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour, through a message on the LED walls of the village, as well as on the official social channels, expressed their closeness to the family members of the soldier and to the Carabinieri, embracing in an ideal embrace the entire Defense family.

An event that particularly shook and influenced the morale of all the participants of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour but that at the same time united everyone, military and non-military, both Italian and foreign athletes, in sharing those values that, through sailing, the tour promotes such as loyalty, a sense of belonging, and courage.
