Formula 18 Italian National Regatta 2025 at Centro Velico Punta Ala - Overall

by Centro Velico Punta Ala 3 Jun 21:04 PDT 31 May - 2 June 2025

Three days of sailing, sunshine and warm hospitality at PuntAla Camp & Resort

The third leg of the F18 Italian National Circuit came to a close on Monday after 3 days of sailing at Centro Velico Punta Ala. Twenty-two teams competed in ideal conditions throughout the event, delivering a long weekend of sport and spectacle on the deep blue waters of the Gulf of Follonica.

Weather conditions were favourable all weekend long, with beautiful summer sunshine providing the perfect backdrop for the regatta. On Friday, one race was held in light westerly/southwesterly winds of 6–8 knots, before the breeze dropped off. Saturday offered a long and intense day on the water, with a light but steady wind allowing for the completion of four races. Sunday brought the grand finale: a fun and fast-paced day, with a strengthening Scirocco breeze around 10 knots and a light swell forming — ideal conditions to wrap up the event in style and spark a few final battles on the course.

The final standings reflected the performances seen over the first two days, though the fight for the top positions — particularly between the two leading crews from Centro Vela Dervio — remained intense until the very end.

Overall Results:

1st ITA 2 — Maurizio Stella & Davide Paolo Recalcati (Centro Vela Dervio)
2nd ITA 303 — Andrea & Matteo Viganò (Centro Vela Dervio)
3rd ITA 11 — Matteo Fiorini & Lorenzo Casamenti (Yacht Club Rimini)
4?th ITA 69 — Luigi Vitiello & Francesco Vitiello (LNI Ostia)
5?th ITA 101 — Guglielmo Cattarozzi & Massimo Piranomonte (CV3V)

The prizegiving ceremony, held in the late afternoon under the event tent at PuntAla Camp&Resort, honored all participants and winners in a friendly and festive atmosphere. Once again, the venue proved its excellence in hosting sporting events, offering sunset aperitifs, moments of relaxation in the pine forest, and beach volleyball matches that added an extra layer of enjoyment to each day spent by the sea.

Centro Velico Punta Ala would like to thank the Municipality of Castiglione della Pescaia and the Municipality of Scarlino for their valuable support and patronage, as well as the local partner companies Ginanni Marcello Modellisti Calzature and New Living Scale.
