Save the Date - Cowes Classics Regatta 2026

by Magnus Wheatley 5 Jun 07:00 PDT 4-7 June 2026

As the curtain comes down on what has been a remarkable Cowes Classics Week 2025, thoughts at the Royal London Yacht Club and the Royal Thames Yacht Club turn towards the hosting of Cowes Classics Regatta 2026 with the dates now confirmed as: Thursday 4th June - Sunday 7th June 2026.

With the regatta concluding, some of the wonderful sponsors expressed their gratitude to the competitors and to all the staff and volunteers that made the Cowes Classics Regatta 2025 regatta such a success.

Lance Whitehead, Managing Director of Dartmouth Distillery Company, which made such a positive and welcome impact at the regatta this year, commented: "It was an absolute pleasure for us at the Dartmouth Distillery Company to support Cowes Classics Regatta this year, and it was so impressive to see the spirit by which the regatta was conducted. Shoreside at the Royal London Yacht Club, competitors were all having a wonderful time at the various social events and this was mirrored by the on-water action that was thrilling to spectate. I very much hope to bring my classic yawl 'Merlin' next year!"

Tim Milner the Founder of Bamboo Travel, a company that provides intelligent and innovative travel ideas to take travellers off the beaten track, who attended with his wife Yadanar Zin Zo, was equally complimentary about Cowes Classics Regatta, saying: "For all of us at Bamboo Travel, sponsoring Cowes Classics Regatta has been a truly worthwhile and memorable experience, Standing on the Royal London Yacht Club balcony and seeing the Spitfire overhead and the classic cars and yachts on the Parade with the hundreds of spectators, was a real highlight. Getting on the water was also an unforgettable experience, especially as the wind came up on Sunday, and my wife and I held our breath at some of the moments we witnessed. Overall, it really was a terrific regatta, a celebration of classic yacht racing, and we are looking forward to 2026 already."
