The Deputy Chief of Staff of Italian Navy, Admiral Giuseppe Berutti Bergotto, in his greeting address, after thanking the Municipality of Venice and its people for the historic bond with the Navy, underlined how the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour is not only a sporting event but is knowledge of the wonders of our country from the privileged perspective of the sea, in the most eco-sustainable way possible: sailing. A social event to bring everyone closer to this wonderful sport that embodies the values of every sailor and is the basis of the training of the women and men of the Navy.

"With the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour we are bringing sailing to the center, to make this sport a popular discipline, at a particularly favorable time for Italy that after the extraordinary Olympic medals in Paris has also seen the next edition of the America's Cup assigned. A unique opportunity for our nation, for the world of sailing and beyond, to create interconnections with the multiple realities and promote the effectiveness of the Country System that has already given ample proof of its value through the World Tour of the Amerigo Vespucci, ambassador of Made in Italy in the world and of the beauties of our Italy", highlighted the CEO of Difesa Servizi SpA, Dr. Luca Andreoli.

10 teams, half of which are foreign, belonging to prestigious world-famous yacht clubs, will compete in this 5th edition that will touch 10 cities to conclude in Genoa on July 13th. An international event with professional sailors aboard the Figarò 3, presented today by the President of SSI Sport&Events, Dr. Riccardo Simoneschi. They are joined by the teams of the WASZP and WINGFOIL classes that will animate the waters of the cities hosting the tour.

In close synergy with the Italian Sailing Federation, represented today by the Regional President of Veneto, Dr. Anna Giacomello, delegated by the President of the FIV, Dr. Francesco Ettorre. The 5th edition of the Giro dell'Italia a vela, through the concept "Italy seen from the Sea", is not only a sporting event, but a celebration of the beauty, culture, and values of our country. With a strong focus on sustainability and the valorization of traditions, the initiative represents an opportunity to unite coastal communities and celebrate Italianness in all its forms, thanks also to the support of Enit, the main partner of the tour. It will be an exciting challenge, with high technical-sporting value, a unique opportunity to appreciate the wonders of our country, an opportunity to develop synergies, a one-of-a-kind event.
