It is just two weeks before The Medway Yacht Club hosts the 2025 Medway Yacht Club Keelboat Regatta. The dates are 13th to 15th June. Our principal sponsor is Pirates Cave Yacht Chandlery.

We welcome support also from Shepherd Neame, SPAfLOW, Basi Developments, MSBA, UHY, Everard, Boys & Maughan, Emblem Workwear, Dolphin Sails and Priority Services Kent. We are grateful to all our sponsors for their support allowing us to provide complimentary polo shirts and subsidised entry fees.

Our regatta is a relaxed event offering three classes of handicap racing for cruisers plus one design racing for Dragons, Sonatas and Squibs. All races start and finish from committee boats in the River Medway or the Thames Estuary.

The Regatta starts off on the Friday evening with a practice race. The race will start and finish at the MYC line and will be sailed under the YTC handicap system. Prizes will be presented in the clubhouse after the race. The galley and bar will be open for post-race refreshments.

The Regatta points series starts on Saturday morning.

The cruisers will sail under the IRC, YTC and CH (Club Handicap) handicap systems. There will be committee boat starts down river on both days. It is intended to have two races on the Saturday and one longer race on Sunday.

For the one design classes, there will be committee boat starts with windward / leeward courses. It is intended to have four races on the Saturday and two races on Sunday.

The galley will be open throughout the Regatta for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Entertainment to dance the night away on the Saturday night from "Beer Pressure".

The onshore activities as well as the NOR, Sailing Instructions and entry form can be found on the MYC website at www.medwayyachtclub.com/racing/keelboat-regatta

Prize giving will take place as soon as possible after the last race on Sunday.
