Day 2 of the Dutch Youth Regatta 2025 delivered classic Oosterschelde conditions: strong winds, rolling swell, and bright sunshine. The 29er fleet faced a steady 20-knot breeze, challenging sailors to maintain control and consistency throughout the races.

French team FRA 3425, comprising Alexandre Mostini and Raphaël Allain, continued their impressive performance, maintaining their lead at the top of the standings. Their consistent results have set a high benchmark for the fleet.

Close on their heels, Dutch duo Folkert van Surksum and Larz Ganzevles have climbed to second overall. Their determination and skill were evident as they navigated the demanding conditions, narrowing the gap to the leaders.Sail-World

The competition remains tight, with several teams vying for podium positions. As the regatta progresses, the battle for the top spots in the 29er class promises to intensify.

While the sailors battled it out on the water, the shoreside offered plenty for supporters and competitors alike. Families and friends enjoyed a lively market featuring local products and regional treats, creating a festive, community-focused environment. For the sailors, a second-hand clothing market added a sustainable and social dimension to the event, offering the chance to pick up some gear and share stories off the water.

To keep spirits high, all sailors were treated to free ice cream—a welcome break after a long day of racing. These thoughtful extras reflect the regatta's unique blend of serious youth competition and warm, inclusive atmosphere.

With more racing ahead and podium positions still very much in play, the 29er fleet remains one of the most exciting to watch at DYR 2025. Stay tuned for more updates, photos, and results as the action continues in Kamperland.
