The United Kingdom Firefighters Sailing Championship (UKFSC) 2025 wrapped up in style this May, with the all-female crew Siren Sisters taking top honours—winning both their White Sail class and the overall championship title.

Skippered by Sue Antonelli aboard Fleur-de-lis, the Siren Sisters impressed throughout the event with sharp tactics, consistency, and strong teamwork. Their well-earned victory stands as a proud moment for the team and a reflection of the growing diversity within the fire service sailing community.

"This year's racing was incredibly close, and every team pushed hard," said Antonelli. "We're proud of what we achieved together and hope it encourages more women to get involved in competitive sailing."

Hosted in the Solent from 12th to 15th May 2025, UKFSC once again brought together firefighters and emergency service personnel from across the UK and beyond for three days of spirited racing, camaraderie, and fundraising. Since its founding in 2003, the event has now raised over £140,000 for charitable causes.

This year's event proudly supported four remarkable charities: The Firefighters' Charity, RNLI, the Andrew Cassell Foundation, and Autism on the Water. Each was chosen for their close connection to the emergency services, sailing, and making the sport more inclusive and accessible for all.

UKFSC Event Chair Mark Coupar added: "Siren Sisters' overall win is a fantastic example of skill, commitment, and teamwork. Every year the standard gets higher, and 2025 was no exception." Looking ahead, organisers are pleased to announce that UKFSC 2026 will take place from 18th to 21st May 2026, once again promising competitive racing and strong community spirit.
