Armstrong Foils: A+ System Assembly, Disassembly, Tips and Tricks - Video

by Armstrong Foils 26 Sep 21:36 PDT

Armie Armstrong explains the assembly of the Armstrong Foils A+ system and the disassembly process after you've been foiling.

The all-new Armstrong MA Mk II front foil and Surf Mk II stabilizer have landed!

MA Mk II Front Foil

Sizes: 490, 590, 690, 790, 890, 990, 1190, 1390cm2

It’s been described like riding the freshest Japanese powder on a bluebird day, or a hot knife through butter – a foiling experience like no other. The evolution of the Mid Aspect front foil takes your flow to the next level by combining ultra forgiving pitch stability, an incredibly broad speed range, and seamless rail to rail carving. Whether it’s winging or surfing, draw your line with the MA Mk II.

Progress without limits: Incredible pitch stability.

The MA Mk II gives you total control for winging and surf foiling progression. If you’re already riding an HA foil, the MA Mk II will feel more forgiving with its rock-solid stability and consistent lift that will boost your confidence and ability to tackle powered conditions. Advanced riders – including 2x GWA Wave World Champion Cash Berzolla – appreciate just how stable the MA Mk II is when landing maneuvers or pushing hard in critical conditions.

Draw your line: Foil section with a broad speed range.

At the core of this foil lies the new foil section shape that delivers a massive speed range. It’s evolved to deliver a greatly lowered takeoff speed on par with the HA while maintaining a top speed capability similar to the first generation MA. The speed range across sizes makes the MA Mk II ready for everything from winging to prone and tow surfing. Like the original MA, the foil section in the Mk II recovers instantly from breaches so you can draw your line without hesitation.

Dream carving machine: Narrower span for a seamless roll feel.

The narrower span of the mid aspect outline increases carving speed for a given area compared to a high aspect foil, giving the MA Mk II a quick, seamless roll rate and super fluid carving feel. All sizes are 8.0 AR oriented at carving at higher speeds with increased pump and glide that’s perfect for surfing. Whether it’s winging or foil surfing, the MA Mk II is a dream to lay into a turn.

Top Tier Construction: Performance and durability.

Foils experience extreme torsional and bending loads, which is why we’ve crafted the MA Mk II from premium pre-preg Toray high and intermediate modulus carbon fiber. It results in an ultra-strong, stiff, and lightweight foil that performs exceptionally. When combined with our industry-leading manufacturing quality, the consistency of this material and construction choice makes for the very best in performance and durability.

Features

- Mid aspect outline: AR 8.0 for a balance of high roll rate and pitch stability. - Foil section: For low takeoff and high top speeds. - Efficient wingtips: Remarkable ventilation recovery so you can get those tips out of the water. - Toray carbon fiber: Premium high modulus Toray carbon fiber for exceptional stiffness and light weight. - Pick your system: A+ System and Alloy System compatible.

Surf Mk II Stabilizer

Sizes: 130, 170, 200cm2

The new Surf Mk II stabilizer was designed alongside the MA Mk II front foil for a stabilizer that boosts your flow, control, and speed range across foiling disciplines. It features similar outline and foil section characteristics as the MA Mk II.
