Following the successful shipping of most of the TP52s from Nice in the Mediterranean out into the Atlantic and to Vigo on rugged northwest of Spain, the race fleet is now mustering in Galicia ahead of the GALICIA 52 SUPER SERIES Royal Cup.

Nine of the eleven boats representing nine nations which are set to race for the Royal Cup from Baiona's renowned Monte Real Club De Yates were shipped from France by the circuit's logistics partners Peters & May and have just arrived at the major port of Vigo. They are now due to be taken by their crews to Baiona.

The boats which were shipped are Alegre (GBR), Alkedo (ITA), Alpha + (HKG), American Magic-Quantum Racing (USA), Vayu (THA), Paprec (FRA), Platoon Aviation (GER), Provezza (TUR), Sled (USA). Arriving from their home ports will be Phoenix (RSA) and Teasing Machine (FRA).

Racing at the second regatta of the 2025 52 SUPER SERIES season starts on Monday 2nd June and runs through to Saturday 7th June. Holders of the Royal Cup are Germany's Platoon Aviation. Harm Müller-Spreer's team won the trophy in Valencia, Spain last year.

Circuit leaders Gladiator will not race in Galicia but are expected to rejoin the circuit at the Rolex TP52 World Championship in July in Cascais on Portugal's Atlantic coast.

The world's leading grand prix monohull circuit last raced from Baiona in 2022 when Quantum Racing won, Platoon were second and Phoenix third.
