The new Formula 360 Crossover Bowrider leaps in evolution

by Formula Boats 5 Jun 13:38 PDT

An exciting new generation of Formula dayboats has arrived with the upcoming debut of the all-new Formula 360 Crossover Bowrider.

From the stepped FAS3Tech® hull to the stylish glass-sunroof hardtop, this leap in day venture offerings is a refreshing, innovative choice for dayboaters. 36' long with a generous 10' 9" beam, the 360 CBR heralds the arrival of the new generation of open-bow dayboats, the first driven by Formula Designer Michael Young, a John Adams-mentored new creative force in luxury-boating architecture.

Describing this new generation of Crossover Bowriders, Young states, "The Formula 360 CBR is a true blend of entertainment-ready comfort and the exhilarating agility that is rooted in our performance heritage." Michael shares, "I've been excited to preserve that unmistakable Formula essence while introducing new features and finesse. Alongside the dynamic exterior styling, full-width wraparound dash, and innovative performance venting strategy, I'm especially proud of the reimagined transverse head with full-height shower — a standout feature in this class."

True to its Formula CBR lineage, the 360 boasts an open bow with a single-level, flush cockpit and a true stand-up cabin with overnight accommodations and a spacious head compartment.

The triple helm features sit/stand/lean command seating at the operator-friendly dash with a layout that maximizes space, comfort and style. The Raymarine® Axiom® + 12 (dual available) or available Axiom 2 XL 16 dual chartplotters assure confident command at the liquid black dash, announcing the 360's performance edge.

The 360 CBR also features Mercury® DTS with SmartCraft VesselView™ Joystick Piloting control, or Ilmor One-Touch PRO® joystick control with MERLIN display, illuminated waterproof accessory switches, and digital switching with chartplotter control. Twin inductive phone charger mounts are perfectly placed at the futuristic helm, while the Rockford Fosgate® dash-mounted, full-feature stereo remote control delivers music through twelve 6 half" JL Audio™ multi-colored LED lighted chrome-finished marine-grade speakers with 600W amplification and 200W lighted subwoofer. You may opt for the refreshing 16,000 BTU cockpit air conditioning to temper those warm, humid times on the water. The steering wheel features new-for-2025 styling accented by an upholstered dash eyebrow that elevates the classic CBR dynamics of the entire helm area. A lockable storage compartment at the top of the adjacent cabin entry door safeguards your valuables as you enjoy the day.

The cockpit takes a fresh, bold approach with sumptuously contoured seating, precision top stitching and color accents and piping that speak volumes in styling expertise. Seating is optimized and generous, featuring a U-shaped lounge starboard for enjoyment in the round, and includes a Yeti® Tundra® 35 cooler stowed underneath.

Two dual-height Corian® tables bring an upscale dining experience, and when lowered, add filler cushions for comfortable lounging and sunning. Portside, a double-wide lounge forward of the wetbar with storage under and backrest line locker, plus a companion seat aft, brings optimum flexibility with Formula's Crossover SmartZone™ concept. Recessed lumbar areas provide six USB-A/USB-C charging ports and ergonomically placed beverage holders at the ready, a total of 24 beverage holders throughout the bow and cockpit offering plenty of places to set your drink as you enjoy the ride. The molded portside boarding door makes for ease of passenger flow on and off the boat. Storage is at every turn for all your gear - under seats, in lockers, and deep storage in the floor. The molded cockpit wetbar to port features a Corian countertop with integrated sink, a pull-out stainless-front refrigerator and trash container. Notable options include the 120V integrated cockpit grill and a 24" LED/LCD Smart HDTV.

The rear-facing convertible aft sun lounge with multi-position back-rest also adds to the sunning space and overlooks the expansive swim platform. An extended waters-port swim platform with four drink holders is available on sterndrive engine packages, as is the motorized swim seat/step. Spacious storage under the aft lounge includes two standard fenders, accessory outlet and available 12V inflator, plus room for extras for a full day on the water. Both the cockpit and swim platform can each be finished with optional reFlex® decking, or platform only with PlasDECK® woodgrain vinyl decking, providing enhanced comfort and style.

The standard full-width fiberglass hardtop with powered glass sunroof, a work of art in itself, provides welcome shelter from the elements, as does the optional motorized SureShade canopy. Below, the glass windshield walkthrough with acrylic wind breaker panel leads to a roomy bow surround lounge with double-wide forward-facing seat that wraps around 330º for seating up to seven, or a spacious sun lounge with two dual-height Corian tables and standard filler cushions installed. A molded-in cooler under the forward cushion keeps beverages cold, and a built-in trash container is at the ready. With tables up, the bow is a panoramic entertainment and dining spot. Opt for the bow shade and extend your time up front. At the end of the day, full cockpit multi-color LED accent lighting adds to the good times.

Entering the cabin through the centerline door at the helm, two Corian steps lead down to reveal woodgrain-finish flooring and full 6' 2" headroom. The doublewide Ultrafabric™ lounge with custom décor pillows, cedar-lined hanging locker, upper cabinet, Rockford Fosgate AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo with full color display, phone/USB docking port, two 6 half" speakers and USB-A/USB-C charging port are to starboard. To port, the cabin features the open-grain finish aircraft galley with pull-out stainless-front refrigerator, brushed stainless microwave, Keurig® coffee maker with dedicated, slide-out storage, generous upper cabinet, and Corian countertop with concealed, in-counter wastebasket. To starboard, choose to add an integrated open-grain finish galley unit with Corian countertop, concealed molded sink with wine bottle storage and lower cabinet with paper towel holder for a complete galley experience.

Forward, the fully enclosed private head compartment is uniquely transverse-oriented for spacious stand-up headroom, with an expansive molded vanity with Corian® countertop, custom molded sink, shower with curtain, Vacuflush head unit - and even a wireless charging mount - plus plenty of storage, including open-grain finish upper and lower cabinets, tip-out toiletry storage, soft-close dovetail-joint drawer plus large slide-out lower cabinet.

Through the clever utilization of space only Formula's unique Crossover Bowrider layout provides, a full-size double berth with Sensus® memory foam mattress, available with bed linens, custom duvet and 24" Smart HDTV, is located aft, so there is no need to convert a lounge for sleeping. The cabin is perfect for overnight trips or taking a break from the sun, with room to stretch out and relax. Choose the 8,000 BTU air conditioner for added comfort.

The 360 CBR incorporates FAS3Tech multi-step hull technology and a molded structural grid to deliver the sure-footed performance that is a Formula hallmark. Power options include MerCruiser or Ilmor sterndrive packages, ranging from twin 380 to 520 horsepower, or, to be introduced at the 2025 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Mercury Verado® outboard power, including twin 7.6L V12 600, or triple 4.6L 300, or 5.7L V10 350 or 400 engines. A 7.5 KW generator is offered for those wishing or requiring AC power away from the dock. Optional underwater multicolor LED lighting is synchronized with the stereo.

The Formula 360 CBR is the next-generation Crossover Bowrider choice for the discerning boater desiring upscale dayboating or overnight accommodations. Contact your Formula dealer or factory representative to arrange a viewing today!
